I think season three had the weakest/unlikable characters, in fact the digimon where really the save. The card enhancements were neat too (:
Yeah, I agree about the Zodiac characters. I also liked the god characters they introduced in the second season (Azulumon was the one in the sky, right?).
Actually, I don’t find the 2nd season
unbearable, but I was dissatisfied with a lot of it. I did like that they brought Myotismon back at the end. Plus, I think they did some great things at the end with Mummymon and Arukenimon. I also liked Ken and that whole storyline. But, like I said, the characters were less interesting. Kari was always annoying, but more so as a teenager. TK and Yolei were both majorly annoying, too. Kodi was blah, but what crazy person came up with the idea to have one of the few main Digimon be an
armadillo?! Ugh. That, on top of Hawkmon… Oi. I actually liked Daisuke/Davis alright, even though he’s pretty unpopular.
I liked the 1st series’ characters’ much better. The only one there I didn’t like was Sora. Plus, Mimi and Palmon were always my favorites and they got the least screen time of all the original characters in season 2. I just felt like the first series was very well-paced. When the characters returned to the digital world to find the Dark Masters…I loved those episodes! So much tension and drama; it was amazing. And the Apocalymon episode was an amazing finale to all of that. I only wish all the digimon in that first season had went Mega. I always wanted to see Rosemon.
Season 3 was just cold to me. I liked Takato, Henry, Beezlemon, and Renamon, but nobody else. Most of it was tedious and it seemed to take forever for me to get into it at all (which was around the time they finally went to the digital world). So, yeah, that one never did much for me.
