DVDizzy Movie Awards 2011 - Nominations

Post by AwallaceUNC »

<center>Image</center>

Welcome to the Seventh Annual DVDizzy Movie & Media Awards - 2011!

As in years past, we have two threads for the nominating round, one for MOVIES categories and one for MEDIA (Television, Music, etc.) categories. You can find the thread for Media nominations here (those nominations are due much sooner than these are!): http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27712

Here are the rules: To submit nominations, you just need to be a registered member of this forum and post your nominations in a reply to this thread. You may submit up to 5 nominations in each category listed below (you may nominate less than 5, but no more than that). You may nominate something or someone in multiple categories. I will make the final call on the eligibility of questionable submissions. Please only nominate things with which you are familiar (i.e. have seen).

These are the 2011 awards because that's when they'll take place, but they look back at the best of 2010. Only titles released during 2010 are eligible for nomination!

You have until 11:59pm (Eastern Time) Wednesday, February 9 to submit your nominations. You may edit your votes up until that time but not after. Any posts edited after the deadline will be disqualified. Any nominations for ineligible titles will be disregarded. The nominees will be announced shortly thereafter.

Once both nominating threads have been closed, we'll move on to the final voting round. After that, the movie and media awards will be presented together in one grand ceremony.

Note: I hope to conduct the voting round by electronic ballot this year, which will make for a much easier and faster process!

To browse through 2010 films by their US wide release date, go here: http://www.joblo.com/releases.php?mode= ... &year=2010

You may nominate any movie as a drama or comedy or both. It's up to each individual nominator to determine which of those categories a movie deserves a nomination in.
