I believe DisneyToon Studios was dissolved and what remains only does Playhouse Disney shows. I mean, with Lasseter being executive producer on the Tink films, they're almost WDAS material.
From my understanding, story and quality control are under Lasseter's jurisdiction. The animation is the only thing outsourced.
I just don't have a better place to put it other than WDAS. It's a lot closer to the WDAS than the earlier sequels were.
And I think ImageMovers was absorbed by Disney, yes - not just Disney getting exclusive distribution rights but rather ImageMovers Digital is as much a subsidiary as Touchstone and Pixar.

Updated again.
I have added the 2011 Pooh film, as well as added the official title for the fifth Tinker Bell film.
It appears as though "The Snow Queen" could be actually coming out after "King of the Elves".
I'm temtped to add it but won't until I can confirm it with a contact at Disney.
For now, follow those details here.
Otherwise, everything on the list in my first post is accurate and up-to-date!

Lots of news!
Peter del Vecho has confirmed "Snow Queen" via /Film.
The TAG Blog has confirmed "Joe Jump".
"Monster's, Inc. 2" has all but been announced.
"The Yellow Submarine" 3D remake has been announced.
Tinker Bell 3 got a re-name.
And the shorts still seem screwed up - why aren't they getting released as promised?!

Disney is supposedly following in Pixar's shoes and making new shorts for theatrical movies to promote home video sales. "Super Rhino" was the first, to promote "BOLT" (notice how many of the DVD commercials mentioned the short?) - so naturally some sort of short will probably be made concerning characters from tPatF to support its home video release.
If there is a new short, I suppose it would be some side adventure with Ray or Louis. I'd like something that takes place after the events of the film, but let's just wait and see.Neal wrote:Disney is supposedly following in Pixar's shoes and making new shorts for theatrical movies to promote home video sales. I'm willing to bet that, if that is the case, it's something to do with Louis' rise to stardom as a jazz musician. Although I think a side adventure for Charlotte would be adorable, especially if she does actually meet a prince or other heir of some kind and they hit it off!BwayJ wrote: If there is a new short, I suppose it would be some side adventure with Ray or Louis. It's probably just me but I'm concerned with Disney's insistent to do fairytale after fairytale after fairytale in this upcoming animation slate. I know there are a few exceptions but it would be really nice to see them do a high quality talking-animal centric film again but I guess they were scared away from the box office failures of Brother Bear and Home on the Range.
I recently saw Bolt and thought it was so-so...too fluffy for my taste.
And I dont count Pooh films.
Disney is better when they mix it up a little and do something really unique every year as far as animated features are concerned. They may run out of good fairytales to do at this point which I hope wont be the case. It's just probably the way I am seeing this.
