I know about that thread,Siren, But I thought I'd make a new one for a new year.

But it's okay if the mods merge it,I guess.

A Doctor Who Christmas Special which doesn't suck. Sadly, I'm starting to have doubts about "Voyage of the Damned".

Oh, and world peace I suppose. But a good Doctor Who Special is more important! :D
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Being Santa's Helper at home, I know most (if not all) of what I'll be getting:

Young Indiana Jones v. 1 DVD set

Disney Legacy Collection: True Live Adventures V. 2 (already have 1 and 3, will only need 4 after Christmas... and the new Treasures)

A few of last year's Hallmark ornaments

a set of Star Wars Cantina Band figures that comes in a tin

Something from my little sis (possibly Pirates of the Caribbean AWE 2-disc)

Something from my older sister's family

Something from my best friend during our gift exchange party

Something from my other best friend and his wife during our gift exchange party

And that's about it. We're going pretty light this year compared to past Christmases, as we're a bit too deep in debt.

Actually, I need to make a wish list for my friends, but I'm not sure what I'll put on it since it needs to be at the 10 dollar level and that's usually the stuff I manage to buy on my own, ha.

Some of you are wishing for insanely expensive stuff like laptops or HDTVs. I'm just curious, but are your wishes just wishful thinking, or do you really expect to get the gifts?

I dunno ...

Those sound like reasonable requests to me, as long as you're not asking for 10 of them or like 50 other things. Laptops can be fairly affordable nowadays too. Doesn't mean someone is expecting the most expensive one in the store. And, when else but Christmas would you get that stuff, and why else would they be advertising/selling so many right now? But, it's different for everybody. Money's tight for us this year, so we're going to be content with DVDs and gifts of that nature. But, most Christmases past, there has always been one big gift like that under the tree, sometimes for the family, sometimes for individuals (depending on what it is).

Anyway, I'll be getting Pirates of the Caribbean: AWE after all. Got the 2-disc pack from Best Buy that comes with the figure of Jack's daddy and the free Best Buy bonus disc.

 Well, they sound rather, er ... over-the-top to me. I don't think I've ever heard of someone dishing out money for an HDTV for someone else, just like buying a pastizz or a pizza. It would be swell though!! 8)

For Christmas I normally get stuff like books, DVDs, and stuff like that.
