Understanding the Disney DTV sequels.

Post by Kingpopper »

I have no plans to collect the DTV sequels, nor have I watch more then a few of them. But to help me understand them better, I'm putting together a list of how the sequels relate to the original movie. Any help would be nice.

Normal Sequel:
The Return of Jafar
Aladdin and the King of Thieves
Pocahontas II - Journey to a New World
The Hunchback of Notre Dame II
Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch
Stitch! The Movie
Leroy & Stitch
Kronk's New Groove
The Jungle Book 2
Return to Never Land
Mulan II

Normal Sequel but offsping is main star:
The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea
Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure
101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure

Midquel:
Beauty and the Beast - The Enchanted Christmas
Lion King 1 1/2
Tarzan 2
Bambi II

Episode Sequel:
Belle's Magical World
Cinderella II: Dreams Come True
Tarzan & Jane
Atlantis - Milo's Return

You seem to have got it pretty much right. However, Stitch! The Movie is the beggining of the TV show. So that could go under episode sequel. But it still works under normal sequel. You also have Mulan II missing from your normal sequel list. You might also want to add Cinderella III to your midquel list, because that's kinda what it is, or at least thats what it's closest to of the choices.

And Leroy & Stitch is the end, but Leroy isn't episodic in nature and, as far as I know, neither is Stitch!.

How so exactly? Peter is just as much in that film as he was in "Peter Pan".

I think toonaspie is talking about Wendy's daughter taking Wendy's role from the first film.
