I could see them giving Roger Rabbit a steelbook. It's a very popular movie among adults and collectors, but I doubt any of the others could warrant one. Sad as it makes me. I would love to see a Hunchback steelbook.
Are they even making one for Peter Pan? That one's Diamond and coming in February. With these following so close behind that one, I doubt even Roger Rabbit will get one, to be honest.
Unfortunately no. The only WDAS to get steels have been Diamond Editions and Princess and the Frog.
That said, previous years have been dominated by Pixar steels... but they've now run out of Pixar catalog titles, so I'm hoping they'll do some more Disney ones.
In 2012 we got Cinderella, Brave and Finding Nemo.

We should at least got Peter Pan, Mulan, Aladdin
The little mermaid is a sure thing !
Yeah 2012 has kind of a lame year for Disney steelbooks. Especially after previous years, when there have been like 7 or 8. I would hope that Peter Pan and Little Mermaid should for sure get one (although since they skipped Lady and the Tramp, I guess nothing is set in stone). I would assume we'd also get one for Monsters U. I think Wreck-It Ralph is a possibility as well.

I wouldn't worry about it. If they release every single animated Disney movie on Blu, including all of the DTV sequels, they're hardly going to leave that one out. It'll probably just be one of the last ones to be released, or at least that's my guess.
According to my records here are the films that haven't been announced or released in the US:
Saludos Amigos
The Three Caballeros
Make Mine Music
Fun and Fancy Free
Melody Time
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
101 Dalmatians
The Sword in the Stone
Robin Hood
The Black Cauldron
Oliver & Company
Aladdin
Hercules
Tarzan
The Emperor's New Groove
Lilo & Stitch
It's a given that The Jungle Book will be released in the Diamond line (probably in 2014). I'm not sure if 101 Dalmatians and Aladdin are still in the Diamond line...if someone could verify that.

Can anyone in Europe tell us how the the BD transfers turned out?

Disney removed all of these titles from the Middle East list
Robin Hood BD
The Sword in the Stone BD
The Return of Jafar BD
Aladdin and the King of Thieves BD
Sofia the First DVD
Also they pushed The Hunchback of Notre Dame & Hercules to September 2013
About that Rotana Home Entertainment said:
1- The quality of the masters of Alaadin 2 & 3 are very poor and can’t be compressed on a Blu-ray disc to give an HD output. So Disney have decided to release Alaadin part one in 2013 and will put the other 2 parts through a restoration process that will end by 2014.
2- We were initially planning to release Hercules & Hunch Back of Notre Dam in March 2013 but we got a note from Disney last week that the release has to be pushed to September.
3- Releasing the Marvel titles has nothing to do with increasing or decreasing the amount of Disney titles that we release. Disney bought Marvel so we’re releasing their movies, this has nothing to do with the other Disney lineup.
4- We don’t have to add new Disney titles every release schedule. We work according to a global release agenda and things change all the time, that’s why we have a monthly release schedule. So every month we do updates by either adding or removing titles according to the instructions we get from Disney.

And I was hoping 2013 would be a big year for WDAS films on BD.

Disney will spend money on restoring two lacklustre direct-to-video movies?
Well then I suppose the 1940s package features ought to get royal treatment when the time comes for their BD release. Looking forward to the big-budget restoration on those titles, Disney! [/quote]

This is particularly odd since Hunchback will be released in North America in March.

If Disney is willing to restore and remaster The Return of Jafar which was produced in 1994 by Disney Television Animation and was originally intended to be a TV movie that would serve as the pilot to the series, why wouldn't they do the same for Belle's Magical World which was released in 1998? It's a shame for it to be the only sequel that won't get a Blu-ray release.
