Obviously not since there have been multiple posts of different DVDs. We can't be only on this thread forever, there is more to the site.
Yes, but the least you can do is respond to my posts about the DVDs I did put up. Is that too much to ask? Yes, but the least you can do is respond to my posts about the DVDs I did put up. Is that too much to ask? I'm floored by you guys' installments and I try to praise them, so why can't you do the same for me? In case you haven't noticed, I revised the Pinocchio and Snow White DVDs, promoting them to Legacy Editions instead of merely Platinums. Besides, this is actually one of the better threads IMO.
It's not that we don't care, it's simply that we can't spend all of our time on one thread. For awhile I was kind of glad it left the front page, because I could commit myself to writing these things out without it being like a competition ("Who can do a multi-disc edition of The Nightmare Before Christmas?" "Ooh, me!" "No, look, mine's better!").

I've found it hard to comment the past few pages mainly because they're all looking very familiar now, with simply the names changed (A becomes X becomes W becomes K), but everything else remains virtually the same right down to descriptions. Then again, how many ways can someone say "a 90-minute documentary about the making of the film"?

Also, the past few pages have seen nothing but the three of us (with occasional others) coming in and posting, and even though I'm glad there's an audience of two, it seems kind of a waste for me to go to the lengths of looking up what kind of material exists, what types of processes were used, etc. and having apropos bonus material about it. In the early pages of the thread, everyone came and posted their nice wishful-thinking editions of films, but as the style of the lists became more complex, less and less people started posting. One reason I start out with shortform specs when I write them on my laptop, because I can't be bothered with writing out all the stuff I usually do.

BTW, thanks for updating the list, and great Legacy Edition for Snow White. ;) :D

What do you mean by "three"? Also, you alone don't have to do some of these things. I'm trying to redeem myself here. Also, thanks for responding to Snow White, but what about Pinocchio? You know one of the things I added to that set? "The Walt Disney Comedy and Magic Revue", a 1985 VHS release, released around the time when Pinocchio was first released on video. Again, what do you think?

Three as in the only regulars to this thread is you, Sequel, and me, and I miss the days of pages 1 and 2 when everyone came in with "Oh, I'd like to see this or that!".
Big Disney Fan wrote:Also, you alone don't have to do some of these things.
That's just the thing. I like doing them. I like having a nice format to follow and having it all look the same for me and others to read. Comparing my very first Ultimate to my latest, there's a huge difference in how it's written. It takes up time for me to write them out the way I want to, and sometimes I wonder why I bother since very few actually read them. Plus, with the way it's become easily adaptable for any movie, I wonder why I bother posting one after another if anyone can just copy it, and replace "Doctor Gulley and the Dalmatians of Doom" with "Happy the Dancing Elf of Phrooflington", while changing a couple other names s well. It gets repetitive, and is why I often end up taking breaks from posting them, even though several are actually done.

Redeem from what? I can't think of anything wrong you did in the past in this thread... :?

I haven't had a chance to give Pinocchio a proper once-over (skimmed it last time I was in the thread due to time), but I read it a few minutes ago and I enjoy the specs. Had no idea about the Comedy & Magic Revue though, so that's a nice touch. The 2000 featurette ("Wishes Come True") is actually only 5 minutes long, so you may want to call it "expanded edition" or something to qualify it as a main feature, lol.

I already have an expanded featurette ("Wish Upon a Star") and the only reason I have it there is because you have TWO featurettes on the making of Peter Pan on your Peter Pan Legacy set.

I know I didn't do anything. What I meant to say was that I was trying to start adding to my list again. Sorry for any confusion.

Now I have online the eight-disc Legacy Edition of Fantasia, based on Escapay's Fantasia Legacy Edition DVD. However, I will only post specific running times for the first two discs.

I think I am done with this thread. When it's reached a point where it's only the same three people posting and only one person is actually writing while the other two are blatantly plagiarizing more than half of it, it's time to stop. So there will be no more replacements of "Doctor Gulley and the Dalmatians of Doom" with "Happy the Dancing Elf of Phrooflington". Do what you guys want with this thread, but I'm done. Finished. Fade to black.

I told you it would too difficult to on my own completely. I'm not too good at being this original. Sounds like everyone wants me to stop creating sets. Where else can I put them? ANYONE?!?! Doesn't anyone care?!?!

*takes breath*

Okay, I promise this next one will be one not done by you already, Escapay. It will be Dumbo. Just wait.

I think some people here get a little carried away with just what is possible/available for a DVD release. Anyhow, for Escapay, here's my latest effort:

Something Wicked This Way Comes Special Edition

Picture: anamorphic widescreen 1.66:1 enhanced for Widescreen TVs
Soundtrack: English 2.0, English 5.1, Spanish 5.1, French 2.0

Supplements
(all suppments 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen, enhanced for Widescreen TVs)

Director's Commentary Scene specific commentary from director Jack Clayton.

The Making of 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' Original 1983 TV special. (This is presented in its original 1.33:1 aspect ratio)

The Bradbury Chronicles An interview with author Ray Bradbury, where he talks about writing Something Wicked This Way Comes and the process of adapting it to a Disney film, as well as a wider discussion about his life and works.

An American Tradition Looks at the structure, style and concepts of Something Wicked This Way Comes, comparing it to American authors such as Edgar Allan Poe, H P Lovecraft, Robert Bloch and others.

Embracing The Dark Actor Jonathan Pryce discusses how he approached playing the role of principle villain "Mr Dark"

Wicked Deeds Director Jack Clayton discusses directing Something Wicked This Way Comes, discussing if he felt the horrific content of the movie harmed or enhanced the "Disney" brand name, if he felt he went too far with the scares, or even if he felt he could go even further! Film historians give their thoughts and perspectives on the debate.

Something Different This Way Comes Discussing how SomethingWicked This Way Comes inspired the decision to create Touchstone Pictures – a subsidiary of Walt Disney Pictures to cater for more adult content.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Oh, yeah, before I go further, I want to let everyone know that the way I'm doing the DVDs will be an edition something special. In this case, I'm going to have the sets be 50% Platinum Edition, 50% Legacy Collection and 50% Walt Disney Treasures. That's why those sets of mine on Snow White, Pinocchio and Fantasia are like that.

Nice. btw, Fantasia and all Academy Sound movie's OAR is NOT 1.33. It is 1.375

(Image size 0.600" x 0.825") (or 15.24 x 20.96 in mm for the metric people)

On a Blu-ray that should be 1080 x 1485 pixels.

(Not a silly 1080 x 1440 with 45 pixels cropped out)

Carry on.

How about using ALL animated/live action Disney films. You forgot to include Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Pete's Dragon, Tron and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

And can I use some of your bonus features for Bambi on my own Legacy Edition of the film? I can't really think of any on my own.
