What Disney Classic Do You Want as a Platinum Edition?

Post by The Little Merman »

What Disney Classic do you want as a Platinum Edition next? I know this has been done alot, but I'm still curious. I want The Little Mermaid and Lady and the Tramp! :) But I'll choose TLM cause it's my other favorite besides LATT, and LATT is a little easier to find (Limited Issue).

Well, it's already been confirmed that Bambi and Cinderella will be the next platinums, but in a perfect world I'd like to see Cinderella be the next one rather than having to wait for Bambi to pass. I'd like to see them in this order:

Cinderella
The Little Mermaid
Lady and the Tramp
The Jungle Book
101 Dalmatians

I'd like to soo these ones in this order. Disney should really make one Platinum release every season istead of just spring and fall. it sucks. theyd notice a bounce in profits probably.
little mermaid
cinderella
jungle book
lady and the tramp
101 dalmatians

I picked Bambi. I love that movie but the tape in my VHS is broken. It would be great to be able to see it again.

I personally would have to say Bambi and Cinderella - since those two are the only Disney full-length animated features left to be released on dvd. That's why I'm excited they are both coming out next year.

On the other hand...

Working at the Disney Store - The Little Mermaid is one of the most requested titles to have a re-release on dvd. No doubt the Platinum Edition will be a best seller.

Lady and the Tramp
Disney's musical Tarzan. Coming to Holland 2007.

You must really like "The Jungle Book", seeing as it wasn't even on the list.

Sorry all Jungle Book fans! :) When I made the poll I put Other as an option, but I guess it didn't work!

You have to click "Add Option" on the last option before submitting the post. Otherwise, it won't automatically make it a poll option.

I've fixed your poll, even if I don't really understand it, since the next two Platinum releases are already in place.

Ooh, I did that and it just didn't show. And I mean't if Cinderella and Bambi weren't slated, which one would you want. But thanks! :)

I would really like to see Peter Pan as a platnium DVD or any type of special edition soon rather than in 4 years.

Why I think it's fairly obvious which title I believe deserves the Platinum treatment:

Don't worry, Snow Dogs will one day be recognised for the classic that it is. "I can eat more cheese than you!"

Well, we know what the order is, but I'm glad it is Bambi and Cinderella, given they are yet to be released in any form on DVD.

My vote was for other. I mean all the ones listed are going to be PE but I think it would be cool to see Peter Pan as one. Its one of my old favorites or even a ME if they are still making that line.

Hey. No slammin' Snow Dogs. :D

Personally I think Song of the South deserves the Platinum treatment, but it'll never happen.

Seriously. I like Snow Dogs.

I can't wait for the Little Mermaid. Seriously I can't wait any longer. My cousin has the Limited Issue version and I've been jealous of it for ever. But soon my patience will pay of with the Platinum Edition. I would Like to dee them in this order.
March 2005: The Little Mermaid
October 2005: Cinderella (Yeah, I know that's actually where it is)
March 2006: 101 Dalmations (I already have The LIversion so I'm in no big rush for it to come anytime soon, but I still am getting it on the day it comes out)
October 2006: The Jungle Book
March 2007: Lady and the Tramp
October 2007: Bambi

I would like to see Platinum rereleases in this order.
March 2008: Peter Pan
October 2008: Sleeping Beauty (I don't know how they can improve on the practically perfect DVD edition out now)
March 2009: Fantasia
October 2009: Whatevers left

It'll never happen, but I'd loved to see " The Hunchback of Notre Dame" get the platinum treatment it so desperately deserves.

Me too, I love that flick. It at least deserves a Special or Masterpiece Edition.

Since they are the only ones not released on dvd yet - Cinderella and Bambi for me. I have all the rest on dvd already, but not those two.
