Awww, that was great! Thank you for sharing!!! I’ve been thinking about this thread because I have some friends who have lost their jobs at WDW. :(

:( That sucks, I'm sorry. Did they just find out? Disney has laid off SOOO many people, it's incredibly sad. While many @ WDW were able to go to work, so many are still furloughed or were laid off. :( Will Disneyland ever reopen or will they lay off everyone?

It has been in the past week. Hopefully they all have some money saved up. Most everyone I know who has lost their job were CP’s with me who stayed on after their programs ended. It is too bad Congress can’t pass a stimulus to help these people out.

I haven’t been following Disneyland’s situation very closely, just that there has been back and forth between the company and Governor Newsom. It seems like WDW has been able to reopen safely, but it is hard to compare the two parks when WDW attracts many out-of-state visitors (whose cases are reported in their home states) whereas Disneyland’s customer base is mostly in-state.

I thought that was lovely! But I hope he’s really only working because he wants to. I have friends who spent part or all of their CP at Pinocchio’s Village Haus and remember him well.

I agree. As someone who thinks about retirement all the time (I'm 36 lol), it breaks my heart that so many people can't retire when they'd like to. And did he really apply for so many years before getting hired, or did I miss something? If it was his dream to work at WDW, then I hope he's there because he wants to be.
