Most anticipated Disney movie of 2019
Re: Most anticipated Disney movie of 2019
Spider-Man: Far From Home is being distributed by Sony and while Marvel Studios is involved on the creative side, they don't have much of a say on the release date.
Looking at the combined Fox/Disney schedule, I don't see too many of them moving as the Fox films won't be directly competing with the Disney titles in terms of audience. Ad Astra is the most likely to move, as it's a big science-fiction movie starring Brad Pitt and they probably don't want that opening the same day as Aladdin.
I think one of the best things to come out of Bohemian Rhapsody's enormous success is it shows Disney that Fox can produce big hits with the types of movies Disney doesn't make anymore. In this case, mid-budget adult dramas.

So far, two of Fox's big-budgeted films, The Kid Who Would Be King and Alita: Battle Angel have either flopped or are projected to do so at the box office. Disney can't be happy about this.

Alita is that movie with the girl that looks human except for the huge, Disney eyes, right? Yeah, not surprised it flopped either.

Another albeit belated addition to the game: Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (aka Maleficent 2) is now scheduled to be released on October 18, 2019.

Re: Most anticipated Disney movie of 2019
I know this is a little off-topic, but I didn't know where else to post this.
The movies of 2019 I was actually most looking forward to were the Stephen King movies. I thought Pet Sematary was supposed to be really good because the commercials touted it's Rotten Tomatoes score in the 90's for a while, but I saw it tonight and it was really underwhelming. I greatly preferred the original. But then I looked and I saw the actual score now is 60% which makes sense. The film I still am most looking forward to is It: Chapter Two, and Pennywise is equally good to me in the original and the remake, though I'd say the remake version is scarier.
I hope it's ok I said this here since there has been very little talk in here, but you could also create a topic about Stephen King remakes for this.

Seeing the Blue Sky logo next to the respective logos of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar makes me giddy with a strange sort of pleasure.
Also glad that Walt Disney Animation Studios is finally being treated as a separate brand than just generic 'Disney.'

"Dark Phoenix" has been renamed "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" for its home video release. It reminds me when Disney changed "The Return of Jafar" to "Aladdin: The Return of Jafar" for its DVD debut.

Re: Most anticipated Disney movie of 2019
Not surprised at all to see Endgame at the top. I would've thought at the beginning of 2019 that TLK would likely be above Frozen 2, actually, and would compete with Endgame for first place. Good for Frozen 2 though!
