I like all the costumes except those of the title character and her kin.

They labeled the picture of Queen Ingrith and the black guard as being Michelle Pfeiffer and Chiwetel Ejiofo....eek.

I think that website misunderstood that was said during the panel. They said "brethren", not "brother" and I believe that was used metaphorically, not literally. We know when he was cast, it was reported he was to be Maleficen't love interest. Based on the official character descriptions, Ed Skrein's character seems to be a villain so he can't be her love interest unless they pull another Hans.

^I think you're right, Sotiris. It seemed a bit strange to me that he was her brother. It makes more sense he's her love interest. By the way, those characters descriptions seem quite spoilery, don't they? Though they've been released by Disney, right? So, I guess the info there will be revealed in future trailers/promos.

EDIT: Speaking of spoilers, I've just found this article which gives more info about one of the things revealed in the character descriptions.

Wow, it's pretty cool that Queen Ingrith actually has a legitimate reason to hate fairy kind due to her brother being killed by one of them, so her motivation is already more engaging/interesting than Stefan's was in the first movie.

I have a feeling she'll be redeemed at the end and another character, like the ones played by Ed Skrein or Jenn Murray (which is suspiciously absent from the character descriptions), will be the real villain. Especially because they're revealing her as the villain so early.

I have a feeling that by the end Maleficent's brothers and sisters or whatever they are will try to hurt Aurora or something like that in order to cut Maleficent's connection to humans. I do think that Michelle Pfiffer actually cares for Aurora unlike what the trailer made us believe.

I like that idea, farerb, and I hope that actually happens. Although I guess that would upend the idea of Ingrith being inspired by the cannibal mother-in-law from the fairy tale, if she turns out to be only a temporary antagonist and not the true villain. I actually think it would fit for the villains to be people of the fairy world since the trailers show Maleficent's insecurity towards humans getting in the way of Aurora's happiness with Phillip already.

Well, she doesn't seem to be an ogress here anyway, so maybe they're only partially inspired by the fairy tale. And come to think of it, in the original they made the characters that were evil in the fairy tale good and vice versa, so maybe they'll do the same here.

Not surprising. I’ve always considered it a given that it, at best, would probably do about half of what the first did (which is around the same area as Dumbo and MPR). That’s if it doesn’t bomb enormously like Alice Through the Looking Glass. Even if it does as well as I’d hope, a third one is a long shot. That’s why I’m glad Jolie is going to be in one of Marvel’s films.

Exciting! The press has begun! I hope this movie doesn't follow the same financial path as Alice 2.

The dressing room with all of the costumes and clothing looks intriguing ... saw a snapshot of it in the trailer. I can't believe it will just be her outfits on display, I think there will be more to it ...
