Even though I agree that it stinks that "Get a Horse" did not win the Best Animated Short Oscar, it's not wise to jump to conclusions, Wade--don't assume Disney will stop 2D shorts just because one of their entries didn't win.

And your video responses are still totally unnecessary.

I just want Mickey Mouse to win. He never gets the Oscar since Lend the Paw. It's like Mickey's Christmas Carol and Runaway Brain all over again. The Oscar voters are anti-Mickey Mouse jerks. Also, I don't give a damn about Mr. Hublot.

I don't know which is worse, Newsies lost a Tony from Once for Best Musical, or this? UGH! And I suppose Aladdin is not going to win a Tony for Best Musical either.

Get a Horse was less for the Oscar voters anyway. It's more something hardcore fans, historians, and enthusiasts like on a technical level, and lighthearted fun on a casual level.

Having seen the nominees, Mr. Hublot was very deserving and more in line with Academy tastes.

Though I personally liked get a horse better, the part about academy tastes rings true.

This isn't too surprising, tbh. In recent years, the Academy has shown little enthusiasm for theatrical shorts starring established characters. The fact that "Get a Horse!" was even nominated is kind of a big deal.

Mickey has an Oscar for "Lend A Paw". Even Bugs Bunny has only won 1 Oscar.

Yeah and that was decades ago for either. The 40s even. The academy aren't anti mickey/Maggie/bugs as much as giving recognition to those who have none
