I agree. Their hand-drawn films look much better, but he still managed to recreate their signature style in CGI quite decently.

I didn't know that. The quality is not bad then.

Apparently How Do You Live? is also known as The Boy and the Heron. Interesting.

I'll say. As someone who loves this studio's works, I eagerly await the release of this film here in America. I do think the title change is eccentric, though.

I haven't seen all the Ghibli movies and i still need to watch The Boy and the Heron but I can rank what I've seen. I've been binging Japanese anime recently cuz American animation is so unfulfilling now (not entirely true cuz I've loved new films like Sing 2, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, The Mitchells vs the Machines, etc. so non-Disney companies are proving that they're still on top and winning at the box office. Sing 2 and Puss in Boots were both in the top ten highest grossing movies of their years, can Disney claim the same for their flops???)

1) Spirited Away
2) Howl's Moving Castle
3) Castle in the Sky
4) Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
5) Princess Mononoke
6) Ponyo
7) Arrietty
8) My Neighbor Totoro
9) Tales from Earthsea
10) The Wind Rises
11) The Cat Returns
12) Kiki's Delivery Service
13) From Up on Poppy Hill
14) The Tale of the Princess Kaguya
15) Whisper of the Heart
