In what countries is Tangled called Rapunzel?

Post by Disney Duster »

I didn't want to have to start a whole new topic, but it's the only way I'll get all the help I need to actually find this out.

I really want to know where Tangled is called Rapunzel when you play the movie in English, with the name Rapunzel on the cover in English, the menus in English, all of it, and with the same bonus features we get in the U.S. (for the Blu-ray version which has all the bonus features). I want tto import that version, and not give any money to the one called Tangled!

I know the Netherlands has the name Rapunzel, but when you play the movie in English it turns back to Tangled again!

So please, anyone, try to help, or tell me how I can find the answers, because I really don't know how to find this out.

I don't think there is one...

Strange thing is, when I saw it in theaters (in the Netherlands that is) the English language version started with 'Rapunzel', and not Tangled.

They messed that up on the Blu-ray.

Yeah, I tried finding out this info a while back to no avail. Good luck in your search, and if you find one, please let us know.

Personally, I am over the trauma that the title change caused me ( ) and purchased the blu-ray anyway, BUT it would be nice to have another copy with the traditional title intact as well.

I was considering doing the same thing a few months ago. I'm not sure if they are exactly what you are looking for, but these are the ones I found.

If fans can edit the original lyrics of Arabian Nights back into Aladdin, then I've sure they can put this in the English version.

Why would they not be?! Thank you!!!!! Can you tell where they are from, why they wouldn't be authentic or what I am looking for?

The region is A, which means it can play in the United States, and it could be from the U.S., Canada, or Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong, right?

It seems to have all the bonus features, it just says "Theatrical Trailer" instead of the 9 Teaser Trailers the Tangled Blu-ray has, but, either they forgot to correctly list all the features or I do not care if it is missing those teasers!

The only thing is...is it some kind of fake cover, or will the movie really play the name "Rapunzel" instead of "Tangled" everywhere?

I am not really sure where the first two links are from or if they are bootleg or not, but I did some research on the third and it appears to be from Thailand. I'm so excited because it just so happens that my sister is flying out to Thailand next week for vacation and I'm going to ask her to try and hunt me a copy. I'm specifically looking for the 3D edition with a slip-cover (yeah, I have slip OCD), so I may not get what I want. I'll keep researching and I will let you know if Thaliand is a go when or if my sister finds me a copy. I don't know why I think it would be neat to have a copy of the film with its original title.

Thanks! Though I personally don't want it in 3-D, I want it regular. And we gotta make sure the movie itself has the title Rapunzel in the opening when the title appears.

I know why I want the original title! Because that's what they originally truly wanted it to be, it's what Walt would have wanted, and it's how it should be!
