It looks great. The only thing I'd suggest is moving that picture of Andy to the back as it feels out of place on the front cover as it is. But great job, I hope to see more from you later. :D
Thanks! I wasn't planning on making a back, but it'd be a neat idea. I didn't really know what to put under Buzz and Woody, as I thought cramming all the characters in there would look weird. Plus, my Photoshop skills are not that great.

I like your covers a lot! All the different characters really add flavor!

LOL! I know, he is a hard one to find a good picture for sadly. I'd gladly change it if I found an image that worked.

Scarred4life wrote:Ahhh! That picture of Ariel is PERFECT! I love it, my favourite so far! :)
I defiantly felt it to be the most iconic image I could have used, which is why I used it. Now I'm trying to find one for "The Lion King" and then also for ones made already that need "fixing." I just worry that if I re-do Volume Two, I'll loose having both Mickey AND Jiminy Cricket in the center, and I really liked that.

Neither are mine, but with practice and reading up on stuff (a class would not hurt either, but even I have not gotten that far sadly), you can get better! This site that I'm part of has a whole forum on tips and tutorials for making custom covers. Feel free to use it. :D

A cleaned up Volume One:

I'm also stuck on Volume Seven. I want to use "The Lion King" for the center, but am having a hard time decided what image to put in there. These are the three I'm thinking of right now. Thoughts?

It's cliche, but you should put the one of Rafiki holding Simba up. Definitely the most memorable scene for me.

It may be that one. My wife defiantly loves that one the most, plus it may be the most icon image from the film. I loved the one from the end with Zazu, Nala and Timon and Pumbba with Simba, plus I liked the idea that adult or kid Simba be on the cover. But, baby Simba is still Simba and it is really iconic. Let's see if anyone else has anything to say. The one I go with will effect the characters I put in the corners.

First, thanks, I hope they keep getting better! Second, you may be right about the poster. I wanted the more serious posters for the back and was thinking of saving the original poster for "The Princess Collection," but I think having the originals on this set is a bigger deal. Maybe if I can find a better picture of Taran, I'll make both changes and re-post it later.

I was actually thinking about this one:

That way it will match perfectly with the serious posters.

Okay, you might think I'm biased, because I already said I liked the Rafiki one, but I really think that one looks the best. If you were to use the Hakuna Matata one, you should make it a little bit more centered.

BOOM! That is perfect! I actually had not been able to find a decent version of that poster, but that works the best for this set I think. Thanks. Any chance you can find a better picture for Taran on the front? :D

Of the Lion King covers, I personally like the last one best.

milojthatch - I love the way you use the logo from the title cards of the movies. Do you just trace them from screencaps of the film? Or do you have high res images of all the logos themselves?

To anyone who can help, I'm looking for a picture of Quasimodo I can use for the front of Volume Seven. He has proven to be as hard finding pictures of as Taran. Which I'm not so surprised, but still, any help would be great.

Thanks, I may be able to work with those. I'll get on it after I finish Volume Seven. I think I'm going to have to agree with you that the last picture of Simba is the best for the center.

I'd love to answer you fully, but that is actually the main part I don't do personally. The guy I have partnered with does the logos, the pixie dust and magic mirror on the front, and the signatures on the back. Everything else is me. So far as I know, he pulls it from either the posters or the screen caps, depending on what looks better. I've found a few titles for him to work on, but he has found most of them. I'm really grateful for his help as there are still some parts I am not confident enough that I could do as well yet and it frees up a lot of work for me to focus on other parts on the covers, and as a result, they get made faster.

^ For the Lion King covers, I still love the Rafiki one, but the last one of Simba looks great. As does the new Hakuna Matata one! Ahh, how will you ever decide. :P

I personally like the picture of Taran. I was going to comment on it. He looks so...Taran.

Wow, your covers keep getting better! Strangely, the Robin Hood one is one of my favorites (even though I don't particularly like that movie). The pictures you used are all just right. :)

Thanks. I'm kind of wanting to move on and finish this series of covers (shorts and Pixar covers are calling...) so I'm probably going to keep the current Taran picture for now. That said, later, when I have the time, if I can make one of the other pictures work, I'll change it. If not, it stays. Just depends.

I like the "Robin Hood" cover as well. That was my easiest cover to date actually. The picture all just came together, although I do need to update it a bit.

SmartAleck25 wrote:Oh, do the Simba in the rain one! That's so epic! :D
It is rather epic. I'm probably not going with that one, but it's not hard to keep it in my file and make alternate versions. :D It was really between that one and the last one. I think the others didn't make the cut.

This is what I would like to see Disney do. Label each one with their release number, and make them all uniform looking. Pardon the Disney Blu-Ray logo on two of them. I decided to scrap it because it's tacky. Somehow it managed to remain on two and I was too lazy to take it off.
