The Plastics are back in the long awaited follow-up to the smash-hit Mean Girls...and now the clique is more fashionable, funny and ferocious than ever! Confident senior Jo (Meaghan Martin) begins the new school year by breaking her own cardinal rule: don't get involved in girl drama. But when she sees timid Abby (Jennifer Stone) preyed upon by Queen Bee Mandi (Maiara Walsh) and her minions, she takes sides in a viciously funny girl-world-war that turns the whole school upside down.

This should be direct-to-video, so it can be hidden away and never seen.
Why is there no originality in Hollywood any more? There must be some writers out there with original ideas, and there probably is, but Hollywood won't pay for them.
Avoid these movies and maybe they will just go away. (I truly doubt it, but it is worth a try).

With all those silent Draculas and Fairy Tales, was Hollywood *ever* as original as we all claim it once was? Well, either way, it comes down to the only two words that can describe this film: cash-in. Hollywood is a business, and this is definitely the cleaner, more parent-friendly alternative to the original "Mean Girls".dvdjunkie wrote:This should be direct-to-video, so it can be hidden away and never seen.

I know..
And you know what's also weird? I just watched the trailer and it starts with the mean girls from the first movie (Cady, Regina, Karen and Gretchen) and then they show the mean girls from this movie.
And they look so young compared to the girls from the first one! It just doesn't look right. Also, the clothes look wrong. I think they thought: Girly mean girls = Pink?
The original girls didn't ONLY wear pink.

Somewhat related to the critique of using Disney stars for this movie, someone made a funny parody of the first movie's trailer using Disney princesses and princes.

Saw it today.
And I didn't really know what to think of it. It's not really a sequel, but more of a remake. A bad remake, I have to add.
Mandi is nothing compared to Regina.
Hope and Chastity are okay, but not as..mean as Karen an Gretchen were.
Also, are they planning on making this a DTV series, (like Bring it On)? Cause I hope not.

It's probably inevitable I mean for Goodness's Sake they came out with a Nintendo DS Game of it
I just hope there isn't a Video Game made of a certain movie that is having a sequel DTV to stores this Tuesday by a company that started with a Mouse...or else my girlfriend will want such game.(Which I am going to be killed by my Dad and my Girlfriend if I don't buy this Sequel to movie...good grief )

Re: Mean Girls 2 is happening...
Several members of the original cast (including Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert) returned to play their Mean Girls characters in this Black Friday commercial for Walmart.
