I DVR'd a broadcast a while back. Now I have a version of the movie to tide me over. No way am I shelling out for the blu ray release.

Thank you, it's beautiful...but...The Lion King...even though it's a must own...I don't really want to spend the little money I have on it. I just collect my most favorite things these days, and its low on my list of favorites. No matter how great and classic I know it to be. It's just not a big enough favorite for me.

So, today at my Disney Store, I was hoping to buy Lion King 2, but they didn't have it, which I found odd b/c it's Disney. Anyone explain?

Well, the major point is that the Blu-ray master (which I'm pretty sure is the master used for the most recent broadcasts) has more depth than the 2003 DVD does.

I don't understand why people love the lenticular slip cover. I dislike it. I think it's ugly and easy come off.
