If anyone has it, Is their any improvements that make this one worth getting over the previous one? I don't have either version and was wondering about wich was better.

Okay... it's a special Anniversary edition... and they throw things away without adding anything to it? Lame, lame, lame.

An almost complete set (18 episodes are missing) of "The Care Bears Family" (1986-1988) produced by Nelvana (which includes the TV film "Care Bears: Nutcracker Suite") titled Care Bears: The Original Series Collection will be released on DVD on October 9, 2012.




A complete set of the "Care Bears" TV show (1985) produced by DiC Entertainment titled Care Bears: The Complete Series will be released on DVD on October 6, 2015.

Screw the Power Rangers, I am SO buying this!!

Since the site is just guessing what movie will be in the set I have a feeling it may be the Alice in Wonderland movie with the bears rather than the other two which have made it to DVD already. I could be wrong but just a gut feeling.

Did MGM distribute the other 2 or just the second film?

I know what you mean, I'm also pulling for Wonderland to complete the trilogy (there's also a made-for-TV / direct-to-video movie that came out later but...).

So There have been a lot of Care Bears DVD releases. My niece loves the originals and I want to get all of them for her since there really isn't anything good on TV lately. I had no clue that DIC and Nelvana made Care Bears in the 80's lol.

Which release has all the DIC Care Bears episode?

Also the Nelvana Collection came out but I read that it wasn't complete.
Are the rest of the episodes on any other releases that I can buy to complete it?

I dont have those releases. I do have the early series with "Land without feelings" pilot by Atkinson Arts and the other eps by DIC which were spread over 4 volumes. You can buy that here:

By the looks of those images on your opening post the 6 disc set might include both versions. The early ones are definetly not on the first one because Share bears tummy is different on the second image. In the original DIC series her tummy is a milk shake, in the later remake it is the two lollipops.
