Alice is 8 or 9 yrs old and Evanna Lynch (Luna) is just as old as I am !
Annasophia Robb is the most likely choice :

1.Tim Burton seems to like to work with his actors from previous movies. (Annasophia was the sporty bubble gum girl who turned purple and fat in Tim Burton's Charlie & the Chocolate Factory)
2. She worked with Disney before in The Bridge to Terabithia and made a great job.
3. She's a blond babyface just like Alice.

Anyway i think Evanna will fit.
By the way-the girl's name from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is Voilet.

There is nobody named Voilet in the movie.
There is,however,a charector named Violet.
And believe it or not,Alice is supposed to be seven.

Why? You can always watch the animated film with those songs in it.
I'd like this film to be as different from the Disney version as possible. Not that I dislike the Disney version, no, I love it, but I don't see any point in doing the same thing again.
I must say I'm a little sceptical about this. Burton's Planet of the Apes remake was terrible compared to the original. However, I liked very much his take on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In places, it was way better than the 70's film version, but it added some things which I thought it would have done better without.
BTW, you do mean A Very Merry Unbirthday, don't you? (Although I think the official title is just The Unbirthday Song.)

First, "Willy Wonka" was not remade. He made a film version of the novel again, hence why it is called "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", not "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". It's an entirely different film. It would be a remake had he based his film on the script from the 70's movie. And frankly, if you've ever read the book, the 70's movie left a lot to be desired.SwordInTheStone777 wrote:Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory is a classic and didn't need to be remade, neither did Planet of the Apes.
it's just not Alice without these songs, when one thinks of Alice its Disney's masterpiece, not Lewis Carol's novel.
And if one thinks of the movie "Alice" and not the source material, then that's just sad. There's no reason why Tim Burton should use the songs. He's making a movie based on the book, not a carbon copy of the animated film with live-action/CGI elements.

Also, not everyone thinks of Disney when it comes to Alice. Some people might think of the book first, or other film/stage adaptations.
