Which Song Is The Best? - Round 13: THE JUNGLE BOOK

Post by DisneyChris »

Welcome to "Which Song Is The Best? - Round 13"! This is a reincarnation of the "Rank Each Disney Animated Classic's Songs" game. Since I think voting for your favourite song is more fun than ranking your songs, I have changed the way of playing, and this round we have...

The Jungle Book

*Because some Disney animated classics have only one or no songs, and I want to ignore the WWII "package" features, the following films will be left out from the game: Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free, Melody Time, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, The Black Cauldron, The Rescuers Down Under, Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

In my opinion, "The Bare Necessities" is the best of the bunch, but "I Wan'na Be Like You" is very, very close.

One more note: Besides just voting for your favourite, you're always free to rank them, too. :)

"The Bare Necessities" is great, one of the most memorable tunes from a Disney film, but I think I'd give the slight edge to "I Wan'na Be Like You." That's a really swingin' one!

Every song in this movie is just great. It has a good score, too.

1. I Wan'na Be Like You
2. The Bare Necessities
3. That's What Friends Are For
4. Colonel Hathi's March*
5. Trust In Me
6. My Own Home

*I was in band in middle school and we got to perform this song in our year-end concert- a lot of fun.

1.I Wan'na Be Like You
2.The Bare Necessities

I would rank the rest, but I don't really remember the rest that well...!
Homer: Marge, I'm bored
Marge: Why don't you read something?
Homer: Because I'm trying to reduce my boredom

I mean you never seem to see clips of anything else.

See Jungle Book 2 (the clip show for 1).
