My cat was killed by a guy who thought it was funny to feed her alcohol. And all the kids of alcoholics must think this is hilarious. Fail.

I was okay until they sang "Let dogs drink," because while a kid might know they're not allowed to drink, they might not know that their dog can die. I'm kind of on board with this Twitter comment:

First, yeah the Disney text was funny.
Second, I know that cat story is so sad. So sorry to the owner I believe there's similar stories too on the thread.

I think Disney recognises SNL is meant to be parody and it's not the first time animated versions of their characters have been depicted on the show (remember the "Disney Vault" sketch from the TV Funhouse days?).

I find it funny but I don't like the bits that are funny at the expense of the truth. I'm pretty sure it's sketches like this and repeated jokes on Family Guy that have made current youths believe Walt was anti-semitic, racist and misogynist, among others. Of course there are plenty of big names who have flatly denied this (Floyd Norman, Sherman Brothers, etc.), but I'm pretty sure the general public has no idea who those people are and certainly won't care what they have to say on the matter. Norman's statements I trust especially as he comes off as a very no-nonsense guy and I think if there was something he didn't like about Walt, he'd have no qualms about saying it.

I like this one much better. Of course there are digs at the Disney animators, because at the time I'm pretty sure everybody thought WDAS was responsible for every micro-second of animation produced by the Walt Disney Company.

That Snow Queen design must be from when Bette Midler was playing the character. That's just an assumption on my part; I just can't imagine Idina Menzel's voice coming out of that design at all. Even if her character was a villain, I imagine she'd be more like Maleficent with a quiet gracefulness to her, rather than a wry expression like what a Midler villain would probably have.
Anyway, the Giaimo piece of Elsa reminds me of the background wall paintings of the Diamonds from Steven Universe.

Seems to be similar to Tangled's, which I didn't particularly care for so I'm glad it was changed.

(There's no sound on the video, right- it's not just my computer?!) Black-haired Elsa! Colorful trolls! Kristoff & Anna remind me of Once Upon a Wintertime!

Came across this:
https://youtu.be/hdv0wt-hTGQ
I remember that this was one of the first trailers I've seen that got me really excited for the film, I really miss that, I don't think I'm at that point anymore, which is really a shame because I do want to get excited for future Disney films, I mean excited-excited with all the hype and everything.
P.S. I'm still mad that that last shot of Elsa wasn't in the film itself.

France and Japan have extremely elegant posters and trailers, very different from the rest of the world usually. I absolutely love their style, and I agree farerb, that trailer is wonderful.

Kristen Bell talks about voicing Anna at this point of a Vanity Fair video from last April. I don't think I knew she had auditioned for Tangled before getting the role of Anna in Frozen.

Re: Frozen: Part V
Frozen was an answer on the Jeopardy college tournament last night, as #1 album of 2014. That made me curious to see its numbers on Wikipedia--4.3 million in the U.S. alone. It would be interesting to see the numbers for past Disney soundtracks across countries, but I have no idea where you'd find that kind of information.
Looking at Frozen II, in comparison, it only hit #13 on the year-end, although it did hit #1 on the chart at one point in its run and was the first animated film soundtrack to have done so since Frozen's soundtrack. Apparently it also spent more time at #1 on the soundtrack-specific chart than the first film's, surprisingly.
