It will be really weird if they are not released as DMC exclusives. They're supposed to be on Disney + in 1080p so why not releasing them on physical?blackcauldron85 wrote:So you think we'll never get Blus for TBC, MMM/MT?!

Yeah, I can't see this line getting released again anytime soon. I do hope the rest of the 90s films get 4K releases one day like Pocahontas, Hunchback, Tarzan, etc. Stitch as well.DisneyBluLife wrote:I meant the movies in Platinum/Diamond/Signature line. Did you notice Aurora's legs don't match her hands and face? At least her hair is not sickening yellow like Alice's hair is.

I always figured that was because her legs receive less light from being covered by her skirt. Someone would have to look at the original cel though to see if her legs are shaded differently from the rest of her skin.

To me it looks perfectly natural, that her legs are in shadow beacause they're closer to the ground. Light comes from above, of course.
Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
The Jungle Book remake is going to be released on January 14th, so that might mean that the Signature Collection of The Jungle Book might be released on that date as well.
Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
In addition, there's no word on a 4K of the original Jungle Book so perhaps that German site made a mistake after all.

Yeah I thought the animated Jungle Book in 4K sounded far-fetched. I'm sure the Signature Edition will debut with the live-action film's 4K release.

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
If the animated Beauty and the Beast comes out next year in 4K, will the remake get a 4K release as well?
Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
That’s very, very, very likely yes.
Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
Cool! I wonder if they will both get new cover arts! But seeing that Maleficent's 4K Blu-ray got the same art as the regular one, I don't see it happening for the remake. The original animation might get one.
Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
Funny thing I realized today: each of the four Renaissance films is the last to be released in a certain format:
The Lion King was the last to be released on VHS/Laserdisc (obviously).
The Little Mermaid was the last to be released on (non letterboxed) DVD.
Aladdin was the last to be released on Blu-ray.
Beauty and the Beast will be the last to be released on 4K UHD.

What do you mean? Blu-rays and 4K UHD's will still be made for many, many, many, many, many years...?
Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
I meant out of the four films X was the last to be available on the format.

Ohhhhh ok.
Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
It's so weird. Best Buy has put up the 4K of the remake of The Jungle Book for pre order but there hasn't been any word on the Signature Collection of the original. Not even a non 4K Blu-ray. I guess Disney isn't releasing it with the remake (?!?).
