The Walt Disney Signature Collection
Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
Just one small correction:
The blue castle logo from the Platinum Edition was changed to the original RKO logo in the Diamond/Signature. The Platinum Edition also has extra credits at the end of the film which are not present at the Diamond/Signature. The bonus feature starts with the RKO logo and ends with the blue castle logo and it doesn't have the extra credits used in the Platinum Edition.

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
I seriously doubt Disney will do something new with Beauty and the Beast. All Disney's 4K releases, with the exception of Aladdin and The Little Mermaid and of course new releases, had the Blu-ray reissued (Pixar, Marvel, Revival, The Lion King), why would Beauty and the Beast be any different?
I think the rereleases and new edition days of Disney will be over after they finish the Signature Collection with The Jungle Book and Fantasia. It's reissues from now on, maybe with a new 4K disc with only the movie (they don't put bonus features on 4K discs).

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
I won't have $ until Christmas anyway, but does anyone know why Disney Movie Club doesn't have Sleeping Beauty or 101D on the site? Are there ever releases that they don't carry?
*edit* I just received an email from DMC saying 9/30/19 is the last day to get their exclusive TJB Blu/DVD...I know TJB's & 101D's DMC exclusives were always supposed to be limited time only...we know 101D is getting a new release, so could this be more confirmation for TJB?

Not as of yet, I don't think.

That was an absolutely great exlplanation Escapay, thank you! I still count "Envisioning Cinderella" as a Signature Collection bonus feature, but I will give that technically it isn't and so Aladdin on Aladdin is technically the best one.

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection
Got my Best Buy steelbook a day early and perusing through it now.
As far as I can tell, it's the same A/V transfer we got in 2008 and 2014. Did a spot check on a few scenes early in the film across the 2008 Blu-Ray, 2014 Blu-Ray, and this one. Then again, I don't look as closely to this as others do, but it is consistent with how I've seen the film across the past 11 years: both previous Blu-Ray releases, the DCP used for Disney Screen in June 2016, and the DCP used for the D23 event this past February.
"In Walt's Words" is taken from 1956 and 1961 interviews, so the Pete Martin sessions account for the first half of the featurette, and whatever the 1961 source accounts for the second.
"Fun Facts" doesn't have any Disney Channel kid hosting, just some disembodied female voice. It's good information, but all stuff we already know and actually covered in past featurettes.
"Stories from Walt's Office: Designing the Studio" looks at the west corner of Walt's office and is only about Sleeping Beauty in the first 20 seconds. In that respect, it's rather weak, but as the fourth chapter of a series that began with on Lady and the Tramp, it's fairly good:
--Stories from Walt’s Office: Walt's Day (6:02) - Lady and the Tramp
--Stories from Walt’s Office: Walt & Flight (4:13) - Peter Pan
--Stories from Walt's Office: Gadgets & Gizmos (6:01) - The Little Mermaid
--Stories from Walt's Office: Designing the Studio (3:12) - Sleeping Beauty
The classic bonus features to make an appearance on the disc are:
--Audio Commentary with Andreas Deja, John Lasseter, and Leonard Maltin (2008)
--Picture Perfect: The Making of Sleeping Beauty (2008)
--Art of Evil: Generations of Disney Villains (2014)
--@DisneyAnimation: Artists in Motion (2014)
--Deleted Scene: Arrival of Maleficent (Alternate Scene) (2014)
--Deleted Scene: The Fair (2014)
--Deleted Scene: The Curse Is Fulfilled (2014)
--Beauty-Oke: "Once Upon a Dream" (2014)
On the MoviesAnywhere page (now live), the following additional bonus features as digital only:
--Live-Action Reference: The Queen and A Good Fairy (1956) - honestly, of the three pieces of footage, this is the least exciting one so I have no idea why they chose it for inclusion; iTunes lists all three under one listing but when it's played, is just the Queen/Good Fairy clip
--Four Artist Paint One Tree (1958)
--Original Theatrical Trailer (1959)
--Grand Canyon (1959)
--Storyboards Sequences Intro (2003) - iTunes includes the intro and the two sequences, but MoviesAnywhere only includes the intro
--The Sound of Beauty: Restoring a Classic (2008)
--Eyvind Earle: A Man and His Art (2008)
--Sequence 8 (2008)
--Alternate Opening: "Holiday" (2008)
--Music Video: "Once Upon a Dream" - Emily Osment (2008)
--Once Upon A Parade (2014)
It should be noted that "Once Upon a Parade" isn't listed or featured in the montage for the Classic Bonus Preview, but is on the MoviesAnywhere page. Also, the Vudu supplements for the Signature Collection does not include the original trailer, storyboard sequences, Alternate "Holiday" Opening, or the Emily Osment music video.
This means the following supplements will not be available digitally or on disc for this latest release:
--Live-Action Reference: Briar Rose Dance (1954)
--Live-Action Reference: Prince Phlilip and the Dragon (1956)
--"Mickey Mouse Club": Helene Stanley (1956) - 1997 LD
--"Walt Disney Presents": The Peter Tchaikovsky Story (1959) - 1997 LD, 2003 DVD, 2008 BD/DVD
--Teaser Trailer (1959) - 1997 LD, 2003 DVD, 2008 BD/DVD
--Re-Release Trailer (1995) - 1997 LD, 2003 DVD, 2008 BD/DVD
--Once Upon A Dream: The Making of Sleeping Beauty (1997) - 1997 LD, 2003 DVD
--The Design (1997) - 1997 LD, 2003 DVD
--Creating the Backgrounds (1997) - 1997 LD, 2003 DVD
--The Music of Sleeping Beauty (1997) - 1997 LD, 2003 DVD
--Widesceen To Pan-And-Scan Comparison (1997) - 1997 LD, 2003 DVD
--The Restoration of Sleeping Beauty (1997) - 1997 LD, 2003 DVD
--Art Galleries (1997) - 1997 LD, 2003 DVD
--Audio Documentary by Disney historian Jeff Kurtti, with archival comments from production designer Eyvind Earle, voice actor Mary Costa, supervising animators Ollie Johnston and Marc Davis, background artist Frank Armitage, Pocahontas director Mike Gabriel, and Pocahontas art designer Michael Giaimo (2003) - 2003 DVD
--The 1951 Outline (2003) - 2003 DVD
--Music Video: "Once Upon Another Dream" - No Secrets (2003) - 2003 DVD
--Art Galleries (2003) - 2003 DVD
--Disney's Art Project: Design a Princess (2003) - 2003 DVD
--Disney's Art Project: Build a Dragon (2003) - 2003 DVD
--Rescue Aurora Adventure Game (2003) - 2003 DVD
--Princess Personality Profile (2003) - 2003 DVD
--Sleeping Beauty Ink & Paint Game (2003) - 2003 DVD
--Cine-Explore Viewing Option (2008) - 2008 BD
--Dragon Encounter (2008) - 2008 BD
--The History of the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Original Disneyland Castle Walkthrough (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Original Disneyland Castle Walkthrough: Guided Tour (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Original Disneyland Castle Walkthrough: Behind the Scenes (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Deleted Song: "It Happens I Have A Picture" Version 1 (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Deleted Song: "It Happens I Have A Picture" Version 2 - 1952 (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Deleted Song: "Riddle-Diddle" (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Deleted Song: "Go To Sleep" (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Art Galleries (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Sleeping Beauty: Fun With Language (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Briar Rose's Enchanted Dance Game (2008) - 2008 BD/DVD
--Maleficent's Challenge (2008) - 2008 BD
My hope is that next year, even if it's a barebones disc paired up with this current Blu-Ray, we get an actual physical 4K disc released. That'll likely be the last time I buy Sleeping Beauty on home media unless I ever get rich enough to buy a 35mm print from somewhere.

Gorgeous. So what is that--part of the booklet? Or did someone make their own cover for the film?
