The trailer appealed to me more than I had expected, but I think my memories and fondness for the original are doing a lot of heavy lifting. I’ll probably watch the movie now, whereas before I wasn’t sure if I cared enough. But cute dogs are cute dogs.

Looks cute. The fact it's a period piece adds to its charm. I'm pleasantly surprised by the animation on the dogs' snouts when they speak. It's not bad. It actually looks more believable here than it does in The Lion King. Didn't care for the rendintion of "Bella Notte" though. I think if it was released in theaters, it would have been successful. It wouldn't cross a billion dollars obviously but it would have earned a respectful amount. Probably more than what Dumbo made.

Me too, it's incredible that it looks better than in The Lion King when this is a movie made for the streaming service and has a much smaller budget.

While I’m frustrated this is another shot-to-shot remake like Lion King, the dogs are absolutely adorable. Lady's acting is spot on as well! Gonna see it since I’m canceling Netflix for Disney+ anyway.

I probably would have thought it was cute had I not been antagonistic towards the remake. But I got burned out and I don't care at this point.

It looks absolutely perfect. Watch it get better reviews than all the remakes they released on the big screen this year.

I think there is a pretty big chance the unknown role F. Murray Abraham is playing is Tony the cook from the movie’s most famous scene and Ken Jong is likely playing Joe, Tony's assistant chef.

Also, I am really curious what they will do with the cats since they can’t be asian stereotypes anymore for obvious reasons. So they are going to have to do something completely different with the cats .

Wonder what ?

They can still have cats, they are real cats, not ones who are animated to portray a racial stereotype. Also they can change the lyrics if they want to keep the song. Not that it would be a loss if they didn't want to keep it.

I hope they still have two twin cats in the movie who sing even if they are nothing like the racial stereotypes in the original !

I like Cats in general they are nice animals.

The CGI...bothers me. It kind of creeps me out. There is some charming feeling, but...eh.

Will the Cats talk too or are only the dogs speaking in this version ?

Also apparently the beaver was scrapped and replaced with just a beaver statue. :?
