I know everyone was upset that The Little Mermaid didn’t and a lot of customers called iTunes to complain. Since Cinderella isn’t getting a new restoration, I’m hoping Disney pours over the bonus features.
Everything except for the deleted scenes and unused songs are on the Signature disc.

It makes me wonder if I should keep the Diamond disc JUST for those deleted scenes and songs, since I already know I'm getting the Signature disc, and it comes with a digital copy, WITH those extras.
I think the deleted scenes and songs might be covered in the new "In Walt's Words" feature so they might have not seen the need to put them as well. Anyway I'm getting the Signature Collection for that feature and the digital code, but I'm also keeping the Diamond digibook.

hey everyone,

I was reading the blu ray review on bluray.com for Cinderella... and it doesnt mention the galleries in the bonus features. I am specially excited about the animation one...

Do we have confirmation that they are included??

I am most interested in the animation galleries too, and was wondering the same thing.

The two new bonus features are already up whoever owns the Diamond Edition digital copy! :) However, you can only view them through “Apple TV A.K.A. iTunes” not the “Movies Anywhere” App. :D
Enjoy!

I hope that too. If Disney does have 4K restorations for all their animated films (or most of them anyway) it would make sense that they'd eventually release them. Even with the streaming service we know Disney will never turn down an opportunity to collect as much money as possible and release their library on physical media. They know there will be people who will subscribe to Disney Plus and still buy their films on DVD, Blu-Ray, etc.

How loaded these 4K releases will be with bonus features and collectible packaging, I have no idea (or at least a mighty good guess) but we'll possibly get another opportunity with Cinderella then. I'm assuming the Platinum/Diamond restoration isn't the 4K one meaning that have a proper 4K restoration already which they're saving for later or they'll end up creating one at some future point.

Ok ok... I was reading a review for the upcoming Cinderella release, and it listed the art galleries (including the animation gallery) as digital-only content...

ANY IDEA IF THIS IS TRUE????

here is a link to the review:

It is digital only, with 110 images across 7 galleries. And more than likely, all those images are already contained in the 373 stills on the 2005 DVD's galleries. And, if we want to backtrack even more, all those images are likely within the 2128 stills from the 1995 LaserDisc. The only perk about the digital gallery is that these stills can be seen at higher resolution than DVD or Laserdisc offered.

hey Albert.

Thanks for the info... and dammit!

1) So if I buy the blu ray and have a digital copy, I will have access to the galleries, right?

2) If I access them from my computer, do you think I can save the images to my hard drive?

Thanks!

But there will be new pencil animation and movie still galleries, and I expect the pencil animation to move. Isn't this right?

Yes, you can screenshot the images to save them.

They are just 10 stills from the pencil animation, not the animation itself.

Oh bummer. Disney didn't do what I had wished for after all. Oh, well except they kind of gave it in the "In Walt's Words: Envisioning Cinderella". That does sort of give me what I wanted!

No, my iTunes digital copy updated to the Signature Collection version with the extras included. I'll be picking up the steelbook and digipak on Tuesday morning.
