The lithographs often are based off of old photo stills and don't reflect the actual content of the disc they're being released with. It's interesting how many more sparkles are on the lithograph though compared to the screencap.

Oh, yes I see Hardbackyoyo, the colors don't just look brighter but also deeper. But there are some missing lines like on in the fold of the underside of Cinderella's dress and they did make the sparkles bigger. They also miscolored the top of her bustle where it meets her bodice as the same color as her bodice. Thankfully the lithograph will not be the way the actual film looks.

That's what I would like to know! Sicoe Vlad, any news?

Oh, I found this. I think it's a placeholder for the actual coverart that will be the steelbook. The steelbook had better be better like have new art of the transformation, or the storybook from the film, or a combination of both!

That cover is awful. It's different for a Disney cover but not a good different.

That steelbook suggest to me that Cinderella doesn't get a 4K edition, which is a shame. I guess the only films they're gonna do are Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.

I don't think there's been a film released in 4K that's older than the 1970s or 80s, so I was never expecting something as old as Cinderella.

I have asked, and the one who replied told me not everyone knows if there will be a new restoration, so I’m really thinking we have to wait for the press release and the disc itself to see for ourselves.

Meanwhile, that cover is beautiful. It’s different, but I like it.

I think it is a good concept, but the color is wrong. It would have looked much better if they used blue or silver.
I'm gonna buy the standard edition anyway.

While I don't see why the prince is on the cover, I love it! It's gorgeous!
Also, did anyone notice the disc covers!

I guess we're getting pictures again! or is that just the add.

That’s very pretty. They’re “Dancing On a Cloud.”

The colors on the Steelbook's inside cover are different from what's on the Diamond Edition.

Only the steelbooks get disc art. The previous Signature steelbooks (like The Little Mermaid and The Lion King) also featured disc art on their steelbooks only. The regular editions still have blank and colorless discs.

is this for the Best Buy steel book? I like it better than what they did for LM and LK. But I don't know why lately they are obsessed with that garish fushia/purple color gradient for Cinderella's cover art. My favorite Best Buy steel book is still the Peter Pan one.

Harbackyoyo, the reason the colors are different between the steelbook inside cover and the Diamond Edition is the steelbook cover is using a very often-used publicity still.

I don't think the pink color for the steelbook is garish, I like the colors used, I just hate the whole idea they have and how it could have been way better with new art and not re-used art, like the new art used for the best Signature steelbook so far, Peter Pan's.

The cover looks so shoddy to me I feel it has to be not the final art, but if it is, boy, will I be disappointed and not buy the steelbook.

There's been rumblings that Warner will release The Wizard of Oz on 4K this year for its 80th Anniversary, especially given that most stores are clearing out their stock of existing blu-rays.

There's only a handful of pre-1980s titles on the market in 4K right now:

The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957)
A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! (1966)
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (1973)
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
Grease (1978)
Halloween (1978)
Superman: The Movie(1978)
Alien (1979)

I also like the steelbook cover. I much prefer it to the regular Signature release. Like farerb said, the fuchsia color, doesn't really suit it. It would have looked better in blue-ish tones. Another thing that would have improved it, is having the actual image of Cindy and Charming dancing instead of a silhouette. But I guess that's asking too much from Disney. At least, it's simple, elegant, with no ugly, off-model characters, representing an iconic scene from the film and has a horizontal title. It's better than most of their covers these days.

I like the fuchsia color, personally. I associate that more with Cinderella's ballroom scenes, which is the best part of the film. All the blue is why I never cared for the Platinum cover.
