Well, Doug has pretty much reviewed the live action remakes before, so that says it all. Yet I'm surprised that he didn't like The Jungle Book, since it was liked by the majority and received rave reviews. It's not unsurprising that he disliked Beauty and the Beast, since the majority seemed to be lukewarm about it.

I liked The Jungle Book but after his review I dislike it. Some things were stupid.

Well, if he didn't even like The Jungle Book, no surprise he didn't like B&tB. I didn't watch it. Maybe if it was just 5 minutes--about the length of time I'd invest in reading a review.

Like telling us what will happen instead of showing it, Shere Khan having little motive to kill Mowgli, having Baloo tell Mowgli he didn't want him around when he should have told him Shere Khan will kill him just to try to make more drama, Mowgli putting out the fire. Maybe Shere Khan wanting Mowgli dead before he grew up to kill them as a man wasn't stupid but I thought the review pointed out that wasn't what actually happened or something.

 You're actually putting up a video of a guy that currently right now is drowning in a sea of controversy due to the fact that he mistreated his colleagues. Zero sympathy for this egocentric asshole.

I'm not lying, this is actually a serious matter, much like the Lasseter crap.

Poor management of the company he was the leader of, enabled sexual harassment of the women producers on the site, scammed 90000 dollars out of his fans, promised initially to give proper focus to all the producers on the site only to then focus only on himself, send people to spy on his special effects guy because he had this weird theory that he "half assed" the effects, had weird and creepy sexual harassment jokes written in his scripts, didn't pay for the producers in the crossover movies....Oh and now he's blocking and dropping off his site anyone who has grievances with him.

This is pretty much trending everywhere on twitter and youtube atm.

You know, I still will care what Doug Walker has to say about movies. Yes he's done some bad but so have even people like Walt Disney. It just doesn't matter. Things he says can still be sound.

Anyway I just found out Metacritic gave Titanic 75%. Freaking idiots. Titanic is the best movie I've ever seen. So I would say Cinderella's 67% and Beauty and the Beast's 65% should actually be considered quite good.

I just realized that I had read your statement too quickly too have grasped what you truly meant. So I apologize for that.

Speaking for myself, I don't pay attention to Doug's opinions or even give them much credit. Frankly, I find his opinions to be ridiculous and weird and he lacks substance and authority to make him credible. He's not even good at making clear why his choices are the way they are and some of his nitpicking and opinions are completely extraneous. Of course he has his exceptions, but due to his previously blatant nature and not so nuanced way of stating his opinions, I don't take him seriously at all.

As for Titanic, it's stuck with the stamp of it's backlash of it's popularity and how it's components suddenly began working against it (which is true to be told the thing people accuse this movie for). But regardless of it, Titanic did have some genuinely good moments and was worthy of it's success, despite that I find that it's problems drags (there are certain parts of the story that drags, true to be told, as in the third act). But Titanic is a good movie, nonetheless.

I understand why people wouldn't care about what he says, you have good points. I will still listen, but you have a sound opinion.

But I can't see anything wrong with Titanic myself!

Oh, by that I meant that your opinion is reasonable and I think it's good, but I will still listen to Doug Walker, too.
