It's really ridiculous to not include Pocahontas and come up with those skimpy excuses. Why not coming clean and admitting that she's not popular enough?

Remarkable that Olaf is appearing instead of the sisters. Could it be due to them actually not being on the lineup?

I think it's a little bit of both. Regardless, it still seems odd of them not to include her when they already introduced a native, Pocahontas-like character called Lani and foreshadowed Pocahontas' appearance in the The Secret Library episode where Sofia passes through the realms of all the official Disney princesses including Pocahontas'.

That's what I believe but the creator claims otherwise.
Q: Why Olaf and not Anna and or Elsa?

Craig Gerber: Because Anna and/or Elsa would be more predictable. And we figured we could have more fun with Olaf.

Q: Well, they are not 'official' Disney Princesses, maybe that's why.

Craig Gerber: That's not why. We just chose not to use them. We could have if we wanted to.

Q: Will we eventually see the two?

Craig Gerber: I would imagine so, but no time soon.

Q: I know we've had Olaf on Sofia the First but we all want princess Anna and Elsa! When will you have them on Sofia the First?

Craig Gerber: There was a window where we could have included Elsa & Anna but it closed when Frozen 2 was announced.

Well, regarding the historical issue, why didn't Disney thought of that back in 1995? :P

Really? The rest of the princess didn't have a good story (tiana for example) ¬¬

Hold on a sec, none of the Princesses had particular story roles to fulfil ? The links were tenuous at best ... seems more of an excuse more than anything, to say its the story that isn't working. Real shame.

Pocahontas is in my opinion one of the easiest princesses to include in a Sofia story. Maybe have a episode where someone maybe a classmate or Amber, not caring about the nature, or have another story where Sofia should learn to be open about other people's apperances and see that they have alot in common even if they don't look like her.

Sofia the First is ending. Season 4 is going to be the show's last. It will consist of 26 episodes total (24 half-hour episodes and 2 one-hour movies).
Q: So, is season 4 going to be the last one?

Craig Gerber: Don't know yet. Just like Doc, we'll have to wait and see. But if either show gets S5, it is exception to the rule.
Source: https://twitter.com/_CraigGerber/status ... 2016885761
Q: Is season 4 the last season of Sofia the First?

Craig Gerber: We are not working on anything beyond that yet. But who knows....
Source: https://twitter.com/_CraigGerber/status ... 9648082944
Q: Sofia is close to finally find out what being royal is all about. Something she sings on her main theme.

Craig Gerber: You are right. She is getting closer.
Source: https://twitter.com/_CraigGerber/status ... 7412557824
Q: What do you think of all the supporters we've gotten, well over 1,000! Do you think that's enough to renew Sofia for a Season 5?

Craig Gerber: Good question. I’ll have to look into that.
Source: https://twitter.com/_CraigGerber/status ... 2618899457
Q: Craig, I thought you should know that a lot of fans are beginning to lose their cool. We really want to know more about season 4 finale.

Craig Gerber: I don’t want to spoil the details of the finale. I can say that production is finally wrapping on it this very week!

Q: What do you mean productions is wrapping up? I thought the movie was already done and ready to go. You did say it was going to air in June before it was pushed back.

Craig Gerber: Things took longer than we thought they would. There are multiple reasons the air date pushed off June.

Q: I sense the crew is changing the TV movie, to insert clues for future productions.

Craig Gerber: It's not that. Our specials are ambitious in terms of production and often take extra work and/or time to get right. This summer's Elena special is also taking extra effort. But we mix the sound next week. Almost done!
Source: https://twitter.com/_CraigGerber/status ... 4395284481
Q: When you say "wrapping-up" on Sofia the First, do you mean just season 4 or the whole show? Has it been cancelled?

Steve Hulett: My understanding was the show was at (or near) the end of its run. But my understanding may be out of date. I no longer have all the facts at my fingertips.
Source: https://tombcartoonmonkeyskeleton.blogs ... -town.html
Q: What's the status on Sofia the First? You didn't specify.

Steve Hulett: It's now listed as "ongoing"...with a caveat. This show was supposedly wrapping when I was still gainfully employed but it seems to be going on. If I get further info to the contrary, I will update.
Source: https://tombcartoonmonkeyskeleton.blogs ... n-too.html
Q: Are you sure Sofia the First is still ongoing? I heard it wrapped production and the crew moved on to Fancy Nancy.

Steve Hulett: If that's the case (I know it's near or at the end) post will be changed.

Sofia model sheet for pose reference. She looks much more appealing in 2D.

Agreed. I'd have to say that about all the female 3D characters though. Those big huge eyes look normal on 2D concept sketches of Rapunzel, Elsa, Anna, Moana, etc. but in CG (especially the former three) it's really disorienting. Not sure why that is except for maybe familiarity with 2D.

Archimedes made his first appearance on the show in the episode "The Mystic Isles: The Great Pretender" (season 4, episode 15). He never talked during the episode.

I was listening to the Disney Junior Holiday Hits album last Christmas and I've noticed that the song "From The Heart" wasn't sung by Tiana, instead its Cinderella who sings that song, and after some research I discovered that Cinderella sings that song in the stage show, too:

"From The Heart" by Cinderella:
https://open.spotify.com/track/5XEu3GQhTgmfgrIZa2N66u

"From The Heart" from the Disney Live stage show:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEZZa8FPyA4

Do you think that Jennifer Hale is doing the singing voice of Cinderella again? (like she first did in “True Sisters”)

^Thanks for posting that. That's really weird. I wonder why Anika didn't get to record the Tiana song.

They did release the single with Anika singing the song around the time the episode aired - I have it downloaded. But I agree; it's weird that they re-recorded it with someone else.

Oh, I didn't know that. I don't mind then that they had Cinderella re-record it. It was probably something done for the requirements of the stage show and was released for the people who attended and wanted the Cinderella version of the song.
