Not sure what that has to do with what Sotiris said at all.
Listening to most often lately:
Ariana Grande ~ "we can't be friends (wait for your love)"
Ariana Grande ~ "imperfect for you"
Kacey Musgraves ~ "The Architect"

Yes, actually I would. We would have appealing, dimensional designs and traditional, hand-drawn animation.DisneyEra wrote:You prefer it look like the '90s?
While not as good as their theatrical counterparts, the series for The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King etc., look infinitely better than the TV animation of today. By the way, the image you posted is an inbetween frame and tells nothing about the quality of animation. You can find shots like that in theatrical animation too. So, the point you were trying to make is moot.

These redesigns look horrible. Too pointy.

Moot you say? And just what point were you trying to make? Calling the BH6 animation style "Bad fan art"? Are you trying to be funny?Sotiris wrote:Yes, actually I would. I agree with both DisneyEra and Sotiris. With Era, The designs are so close to 2000's Saturday cartoons in a good way that they're very refreshing against the Flash animation. But, with Sotiris, they're really really pointy.
BTW: Why is Honey Lemon, who's Hispanic, a red head in this?

Let me guess, if they looked like this it'd be perfect.Kyle wrote:These redesigns look horrible. Too pointy.

I think the point was that the stylistic choices are ugly. Bad animation is excusable in low-quality TV shows, ugly design is not.DisneyEra wrote: Moot you say? And just what point were you trying to make? Calling the BH6 animation style "Bad fan art"? Are you trying to be funny?

But we have not seen what the animation will look like in motion until we get a trailer. This & Tangled are the first Revival features to get animated series. I did not expect them to look like the 2D series of the 90s & 2000s. Plus having 3D characters now on 2D, it's bound to be a little off.Disney's Divinity wrote:I think the point was that the stylistic choices are ugly. While I was never too fond of that show, yes, it would be an improvement I'd say. At least it doesn't look like cut out animation, and the forms have more depth to them.DisneyEra wrote:Let me guess, if they looked like this it'd be perfect.Kyle wrote:These redesigns look horrible. Too pointy.

Because hispanic redheads don't exist, of course. Jokes aside, I've known a fair share of red-haired latinas/spaniard girls. Not as common as say, blondes or more common dark-haired, but they definitely exist (have a cousin that claims ancestry to a Scottish family, and it's kinda obvious by her natural bright hair. hers is just a shade brighter of Anna's).disneyprincess11 wrote:Why is Honey Lemon, who's Hispanic, a red head in this?
As to why Honey Lemon turned from dark blonde in the film to redhead in this pic (they can always change it further down in the show)...I dunno. Lazy attention to detail? People have already commented that the image is traced, so...

Nice to see so much of the voice talent is back. BH6 really is the best choice of Disney's recent films to adapt into a tv series. Excited to see how this and the Tangled series turn out.

I thought the film was meh but I dont think these redesigns look bad, in fact they make me more interested in checking out the series. I was actually expecting noodle limbed Cal Arts crap so it could have been worse.

To be honest, I didn't mind the redesigns. They weren't that horrible, though I've should've seen it in motion first.

It seems the video from that article can't be seen outside the US. In case someone else has the same problem as me and can't watch it, here's another link:Sotiris wrote:The show has been renewed for a second season.

Re: Big Hero 6 The TV Series Premiering in 2017
Do we know if it'll have a TV-movie first and then the TV show, or will it just start with the TV show?
