I believe it's "Madding Crowd", not "Maddening Crowd". I used to mispronounce that myself.

Saturday night I went to a marathon of all of the Indinia Jones movies so I saw lots and lots of trailers although all of them were for modern releases rather than any more re-releases or special events.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice
Point Break
Fantastic Four
Ant-Man
In The Heart of The Sea
American Ultra
Spectre
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

And that's it! Only two trailers! Can you believe it?

With Inside Out (in 2D):

Zootopia (I heard multiple excited whispers when "from the creators of Frozen and Big Hero 6" popped up on the screen...but then people groaned out loud at the "be-fur" pun. Audiences are hard to gauge.)

Pan (Always was "meh". Still is "meh". Special effects (aside from the obviously CGI Peter getting dragged behind a flying pirate ship) and set look decent. Everything else... )

The Good Dinosaur (I saw Inside Out with my mother, and she seemed downright confused by this. She thought that because Inside Out was a Pixar film, there wouldn't be another original Pixar film for a long time. "Two in one year?! Are they copying Jurassic World for money?!" was basically her reaction. By the way, this is unrelated, but Inside Out is a great film to take a parent to.)

There were others, but I didn't see them all because the line for snacks was so slow.

In front of The Force Awakens (all in 3D):
Star Trek Beyond
The Finest Hours
The Jungle Book (I did actually get unexpected chills seeing this on the big screen)

...that was it. I was expecting Zootopia, but nope. There were far more TV commercials than actual movie trailers after the lights dimmed. Granted, half of them were Star Wars related, but I had the same experience with Mockingjay Part 2 a month ago (and most of those commercials were Star Wars related too). Three trailers, ten commercials. I hate the route Cineplex is going with their preshows. Seeing trailers on the big screen used to be one of my favorite parts of going to a movie theatre. Now, it's like watching TV. And they wonder why people are turning to Netflix.

One thing, though, is that there was this adorable short animated film that replaced the typical "enjoy the show" message. I actually got teary eyed, but the Lucasfilm logo right after it ended was a shock since there was no warning that the movie was just going to suddenly start. I had to spend the textscroll recomposing myself.
