And none of the America media wants to cover this for fear of Obamunist having a fit over a possible new scandal to hit the White House.

We need more stations like BBC America that isn't afraid to tell the truth.

Good questions. GMO is a Genetically Modified Organism. And guess what? You've most likely have consumed them! Monsanto is the world's biggest supplier of seed, food and pesticide. They are the ones who developed DDT and Agent Orange. Now they are genetically manipulating food. They are making seed resistant to their own pesticides and are altering seed to actually contain pesticides. There are countries who are trying to ban this stuff but here in the states, we won't even label it!

There was a bill up not too long ago which would have required the food industry to label foods that contain GMOs. Our representatives voted against it. We have a right to know what's in our food and a right to choose to avoid GMOs. But Monsanto doesn't think so. Now, they are trying to push their way into developing nations. This is why there was a worldwide protest against them today.

I try to avoid the partisan politics as I believe that both sides are equally corrupt. But I do agree that the government does not want the media covering this, unless they can show it in a bad light. It would be nice to have more stations like BBC. Luckily we have the internet, so it's much easier for us to see different points of view.

GMO foods exist to a small degree here, and there have been similar protests and complaints. The difference is, the Government hasn't really covered anything up to our knowledge.

I think that the complaint is that they refuse to label what foods contain these things, thus denying people a choice but also not giving us the right to know what we are eating. Just trying to find seeds that are non-GMO to plant yourself can be a real trick now.

Sad to believe the sponsor of Hall of Chemistry and Adventure Thru Inner Space is in so much hot water today.

I used to live in St. Louis where Monsanto has their headquarters and we heard about them all the time.

Well, it's been some time, but I think it should be noted that at least some American Media has picked up on this.
