I hope you don't feel offended by someone just voicing his opinion😉

Yes I did, you're allowed to voice your opinion all you want. I'm not offended, just pointing out that it seems very negative.

Just a thought... doesn't Mickey look like he was drawn with the Paperman technique here? Or not... :D

If you think that looks like Paperman you should see steamboat willie.

I agree with you of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but with all due respect, I like Mickey Mouse Works shorts. They're fun. :D

Apparently, this is what the new shorts will look like.

Unfortunately, I can't watch the video, since I don't live in the United States.

Definitely looks like an old-school design (albeit with a twist), based on the thumbnail.

I would prefer the classic look, but this is good too! :)

Mickey Mouse Shorts officially announced by Disney: Preview!

Post by jade »

Here is the press release from D23 along with the preview

http://d23.disney.go.com/news/2013/03/m ... ary-flair/

What do you guys think?

I think they look really cheap and i hate that animation style with a passion. It's not as lush and beautiful as the 1930s-50s style of color cartoons from the Walt Disney Company.

The designs of the characters are terrible too, plain ugly.

But if you read the press release it sort've makes sense. These will only be on the website and on Disney channel. I bet the budget is small.

Thats no excuse for the character design being so terrible though!

They look terrible. Compare them to the 1930s-0s shorts in animation, design, and background quality. How do they hold up?

The character designs are horrendous, this looks like it's for toddlers much like MMCH.

These are for Disney Channel and their website, so it probably has no budget.

I was hoping for theatrical shorts in the same quality as runaway brain, such a letdown.

Eeek! I'll hold judgement until I actually see one of these but yeah, they aren't meant to look lavish, are they? They *may* be funny and entertaining and may be popular.

Update: Just watched it. I wasn't overwhelmed by it, it was okay. I didn't think that they were going to go this direcetion but it was alright. Worth watching.

I'm digging the designs. However, I prefer they be done in 2-D traditional but this is nice too.

So yeah, I'm gonna like this. ^_^
