Completely off-topic, but you just reminded me that there are black people who visit this site too. In the "post a picture of yourself" thread, everyone seems to be white (odd ...) so I've formed a strange mental image in which DVDizzy is visited only by white Americans.
This may sound naive, but I kind of wish I could form a friendship with a black person one day. In my country you can see quite a lot of African illegal immigrants now in public places. I wish to talk to some of them, but I feel shy. After all, you don't just go up to a person you don't know and say "Hi. Let's talk!" Especially when that person is on their way to somewhere else.
While I recall a rumor in 2003 about a CG remake of Pinocchio, I never knew they were planning a DTV sequel.
And considering that they were planning CG sequels to hand-drawn features (like The Aristocats 2), it's entirely possible that the Pinocchio sequel was also planned as a CG project.
What the hell would it even have been about? He was a boy. The END.
The Belgian studio Belvision did a sequel to Pinocchio called Pinocchio in Outer Space (no, I'm not joking). They had him turn back into a wooden boy by saying he started being a horrible boy after a while.
Again, I am not joking.

Don't forget Filmation's Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night, another animated sequel to Pinocchio's story.
Before The Princess and the Frog, there was a project at WDAS called The Frog Prince developed by Eric Goldberg and his wife Susan. You can read more about it here and here.
DisneyToon Studios had a project in development called Space Mountain. The only information available about that project is that the story was by Jason Belleville and the art director was Alan Bodner.
Mickey in Space was another cancelled project that was to be produced by DisneyToon Studios around 2004-2005. It was based on an original idea by director Elliot M. Bour (aka Saul Blinkoff) and a screenplay by Jason Belleville. David Benullo served as a co-writer on the project.
I've found a clip from the story reel. You can watch the video here or here.
