And why ruin the most romantic, organic, beautiful park of them all with thus plastic Toy Story and metal Car and Wall-E crap?

And why is Lasseter picking this park anyway? Do the French particularly like Pixar? Somehow, I doubt it, unless it's Ratatouille, and none of that film is part of any of this stuff!

I'm not too sure of the WALL-E and Eve statue. It's cute enough, but I don't like its position within Discoveryland at the foot of Space Mountain. This is a general rant, but I don't like the direction that Discoveryland is going in; it's turning into a random bunch of misplaced and jumbled-up sci-fi exhibits like the American Tomorrowlands. The HG Wells/Jules Verne theme was perhaps a bit unhip to stay popular forever, but there is plenty of space in or around the more general science-fiction area (aka the Star Tours/Captain EO section) to go and expand on modern sci-fi themes. They don't need to do it among Vernian buildings. WALL-E and Eve would look better outside Star Tours, as the style of that building much closely matches the look of them. There was no need to strip the actual Space Mountain ride of its Vernian themeing (despite the fact that they still kept the old exterior and canon intact). And whilst I can understand that Le Visionarium became a bit costly and redundant when its sponsor Renault pulled out, the Buzz Lightyear ride shouldn't have moved into that particular spot, as it certainly doesn't match the other things around it (again, I like the BL ride, but it should have gone in next to Star Tours and the like).

The Pixar films have been huge hits worldwide, both critically and financially, including in Europe. Yes, there are some who will never be their champion (yourself included

), but it makes sense for them in many respects to introduce them into any of the parks, even if it may seem like overkill sometimes. I do think that Disney should use some of their older characters in new attractions. Especially considering the renewed interest in princess stuff in recent years, for example, it wouldn't hurt for the Little Mermaid dark ride to surface in Fantasyland, especially now there will be versions of the ride in Florida and California as a potential blueprint. Oh, and Mickey's Philharmagic and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, two modest attractions, have proven to be popular enough in Florida to be replicated elsewhere.

And of course, they could make new rides based on completely original themes.

For the most part, though, Pixar has mainly stayed in the Disney Studios park. Toy Story Playland looks fun, but a bit disappointing considering they were thinking of replicating Toy Story Mania. The Hotel Santa Fe has apparently fallen somewhat into disrepair, and had a very poor theme to start with (a motel-style hotel inspired by the city of Santa Fe...how exciting!

). The Cars theme is just a way of revitalising it and getting families to come ( it's never been one of the more popular hotels).

Oh, and for the record, a Ratatouille attraction is in the works. The Studios now features a Ratatouille-inspired Parisian street (it looks more stylised and cartoony than the real thing), which may be used eventually as the surrounding area for a Ratatouille dark ride.

Well, something not involving Pixar for once! Nope, not news of a sudden decision to build the Little Mermaid dark ride, but it concerns a princess! I found this video via Laughing Place. It's of Rapunzel and Flynn's grand entry into the parks from last Saturday (6th November), during a press event and the European premiere of Tangled. It's very romantic.

You know, I agree in part. I've only been to WDW and DLP, several times.

To me, the worst park would have to be Epcot and I say this with pain in my heart. We were there during the food and wine festival, but I can't imagine enjoying a full day there without that. There are just a handful of attractions and things to do over there IMO. Hollywood Studios is basically the same park as Disney Studios, but I do enjoy the latter more. Something was missing at HS imo. Can't put my finger on it. Though I must admit the Aerosmith ride and Tower Of Terror were better in WDW.

From the 6 parks Ive visited, this would be my ranking:

6. Epcot (WDW)
5. Hollywood Studios (WDW)

4. Disney Studio Park (DLP)
3. Animal Kingdom (WDW)

2. Disneyland Park (DLP)
1. Magic Kingdom (WDW)

This year Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 20th Anniversary!

I've been there last month and last weekend and had so much fun...

They also have new and limited Anniversary merchandise, including a very nice, big and heavy book of which there are only 5000 copies. I've bought an extra copy, for whoever is interested and put it on Ebay...

It's an expensive book, but worth it IMO....it has foldouts and focusses on every year the park has been open....the land, the attractions, maps, merchandise....etc

I have just got back from Disneyland Resort Paris .... and the park is looking the most beautiful it has EVER looked ! Tiny things that make the park magic are back and in full working order, and everything seems new and improved !

Snow White's Scary Adventure will be down from late August to mid October for a refurb .... do you think they will be altering the ride in any way or adding effects ? The altered Mirror scene perhaps ? (I'm not sure which park that is has been done in!)

perhaps since they've closed the ride in WDW they've decided to move some of the stuff from it to the one in DLP? That would be nice to recycle and keep the ride from WDW alive in some way or another.
