What is this one from? It's rather lovely but rather different from usual Disney features.
That would be from the Rescuers.

Yep.

From the scene where Orville is flying them to Devil's Bayou:

Look, I made one! :D

But to make as many as you did, would take me, indeed, hours! :o

Edit no.2: I managed to make it smaller, but the lay-out of this page is still fucked-up. Anyway, I did my best!

Wow Goliath, I saw this a while back, and am an art appreciator, but I missed just how lovely the art from this film was. Not exactly my favorite, but it certainly is lovely, and not like many other Disney features, especially today, they don't seem to go there in loveliness.

Nice selections Laz and anyone who picked beautiful Cinderella scenes. Did you actually arrange for the first three images of "So This is Love" to look like they're in the same pose in the first three?

I made this:

EDIT on 2/21/12: This collage I made has appeared on Tumblr! (I wasn't the one who posted it there)
Link: http://disneyandbluth.tumblr.com/post/14294490892/disneylovesforever-everything-will-become-clear
It's being enjoyed by more people than the ones visiting this thread. Cool.

Those are for Sky Syndrome. That film doesn't get enough love around these parts.

Edit: and I still don't know how to make them smaller! I started out with width=400 and narrowed it down to width=375, but they still look the same to me. So, I fucked up the entire lay-out of this page!
Looks okay to me. As long as you can fit 3 pictures, wide, across the page. But for people with smaller screens, there'll be 2-across and 1 underneath that. And it's not centered (which I forgot to add before, just a simple center /center the same as the img-code... and naturally, add the <> before and after the C and R or / on center and remove spaces).

Disney Duster wrote:Nice selections Laz and anyone who picked beautiful Cinderella scenes. Did you actually arrange for the first three images of "So This is Love" to look like they're in the same pose in the first three?
No, those were just the best three of the different background arrangements. Or, foreground in the case of the 2nd pic (the other choice added the Stepmother, who was clinging onto the column, and since she's not in any of the other pics of the two dancing, I decided against it).

And it is beautiful, isn't it? Especially the first shot of the bridge with the clouds and the white-highlighted treetops. That looks like Mary Blair's handiwork.

Here are mine! :) Alas, these are only a few of the memorable scenes that i think are quite memorable.. Would have included Davy Jones in the mix, but i wasn't sure if this included Live Action or not.. :|

Yes, i love the villains.. Had to include Maestro Forte because of the videos on YouTube(Im Bolted to the Wall!) :lol: But for being YouTube Quality, they actually turned out fairly nice. Mainly Maleficent and the Horned King..

P.S: Not sure if i should shrink them.. Should i? :|

I don't know why it should be so hard. It's actually really easy. Let me show you how I change what you did above. Here's your layout:

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers001.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0"><img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers002.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0"><img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers003.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0">
<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers005.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0"><img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers006.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0"><img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers007.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0">
<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers008.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0">

Here are my changes:
Image Image
And here's what it looks like now, after I've changed it:

<center><img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers001.jpg" width="350" height="225" border="0"><img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers002.jpg" width="350" height="225" border="0"><img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers003.jpg" width="350" height="225" border="0">
<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers005.jpg" width="350" height="225" border="0"><img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers006.jpg" width="350" height="225" border="0"><img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers007.jpg" width="350" height="225" border="0">
<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/res ... ers008.jpg" width="350" height="225" border="0"></center>

I highlighted all that you need to remember.

Just highlight that chunk, copy, and paste it each time you do another movie. Then, erase the old addresses where the last pics went. Then change the numbers if the pics are from a movie where the pics are smaller or larger.

Lemme show ya, take 2 seconds...

Here's something from, uh... Dumbo - in its' original form (pretend this pic is like HUGE) :

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/dum ... bo_023.jpg" width="450" height="345" border="0">

Then, add the code I showed you:
Image
And since it's square-shaped and from a full-screen print of the movie, change the 450 to 300 and the 345 to 225. Then of course, it looks like this:

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/dum ... bo_023.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0">

Takes two seconds. And even easier, if you're doing a row or a chunk of pics from the same movie, then all you have to change from the address is the last 2 or 3 numbers before the ".jpg" that you see right here:
Image

Just change "dumbo_023" to "dumbo_024" or "dumbo_025" . Takes 2 seconds. You don't have to type in every single letter of all the addresses. Just copy and paste and then, erase the address of the pics from Dumbo and put in whatever. Snow White. Bambi. Whatever.

Then... Here's for different types of movies.

Here's Jungle Book (which looks, about, 1.85:1 or slimmer):

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/jun ... ook549.jpg" width="715" height="400" border="0">

You of course, take the same code and use 400 and 225 instead of 300 and 225 and it looks like:

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/jun ... ook549.jpg" width="400" height="225" border="0">

Then, the last one is for 2.35:1 movies, like Sleeping Beauty. A rarity.

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/sle ... y_0570.jpg" width="725" height="345" border="0">

And I changed the numbers to 350 and 200, because the bars on the top and bottom really distort the usual sizing. This might be different on The Black Cauldron, I'm not sure.

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/sle ... y_0570.jpg" width="350" height="200" border="0">

I don't know if Luke is happy with this thread, since it must take up an awful lot of bandwith.

Lazario: It's strange, but the pictures in your first post on this page (page 3) don't show, and your re-arranged collage from The Rescuers also doesn't show. All other pictures you posted, I can see. I also can see all pictures of other members. Only those two I mentioned don't show. Am I the only one who can't see them?

EDIT: Never mind, Laz! I now see where those pictures went: 30 miles to the east! For some weird reason, they ended up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay on the right!

See, THIS is why I hate this! It only costs me a lot of frustration, a lot of confusion and a lot of time and nothing ever gets right the first time, or the second, or the third, or the fourth, or...

Okay, I'm done ranting now. :x

Forgive me.

I've always liked this little scene at the end of The Great Mouse Detective. I think the writing of the characters was fantastic. You can clearly see Basil, Dawson and Olivia don't really want to part ways, but they probably think the others do want to. I especially like Basil's subtle change of heart. The screencaps aren't the best, unfortunately.

He hasn't stopped 'Post a Pic of Your Disney Collection' threads. The latest one has nearly 30 pages and it's loaded with enormous pictures. From what I see, people in this thread are using reasonable sizes for pictures.

So you must be conscious of the aspect ratio, and so you must simply take away as much as you do from the with as you do from the height, and you are fine?

They were bunching up. If you had put in more spaces between instead, they would have stacked underneath each other.

Aviator fixed that. The page should be back to normal now. (YAY for asking people for things!)

So- does this still take you forever to do? After the extra steps I gave you to help?

Different movies are different sizes. So when you make them smaller, you don't want them all the same size because the characters in the shot will look stretched or squished. Like:

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/lad ... amp644.jpg" width="400" height="225" border="0">

That's the pic at 400-width, 225-height. Now, change the width to 300, and:

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/lad ... amp644.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0">

Looks much more natural. That's an example of stretching. Now, let's see some squishing:

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/ala ... din429.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0">

At 300-width, 225-height.

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/ala ... din429.jpg" width="400" height="225" border="0">

^ at 400-width, 225-height. The wider one is better for Aladdin. The skinnier one is better for Lady and the Tramp.

The way to figure out what size to use:
A. If they have bars on the sides, they're 400-width, 225-height.
B. If they have almost no bars at all, they're 300-width, 225-height.
C. If they have bars on the top and bottom, they're 350-width, 200-height.

(Movies that should have bars on the sides: The Jungle Book, Oliver & Company, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, probably everything after that)

(Movies that should have no bars at all: Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, Sword in the Stone, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, and Fox and the Hound)

(I just realized that Sleeping Beauty is a freak- The Black Cauldron, the other super-wide film, has bars on the sides too. So that means it will be at a different size than Sleeping Beauty. It seems to look best at 300-width, 225-height, like all the fullscreen pics:

<img src="http://magicalscreencaps.com/images/the ... ron033.jpg" width="300" height="225" border="0">

Huh...)

A lot of pics at Magical Screencaps do not look good. They're stretched and like, pixelated to hell. Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty in particular, look terrible. Pinocchio also. But making them smaller makes it harder to see what's wrong with those pictures anyway.

But also- resizing them just makes the page look better. If you want to recall the brilliance of a whole scene's animation (like with the clouds, rainbows, colors, backgrounds, etc.), you can stick a chunk of pictures if you make them smaller.
