There's something mentioned in the article about something that I hadn't heard before (about a character that I didn't know about), so if you want a totally spoiler-free movie experience, maybe don't read, but the article has Randy Newman talking about the styles of music in the film.

The Princess And The Frog (DS, PC, Wii) – The video game for Disney’s new animated film The Princess & The Frog. Best Buy has a free Tiana frog plush toy, Target has an exclusive Riverboat Jazz Edition for Wii, and Walmart has exclusive Taste Of New Orleans edition for DS.

I think that otter Newman mentions in the article is probably someone who was cut from the movie.

I downloaded the soundtrack (yes, SUE ME!)

and man do I LOVE the songs. There's not a single one I don't love. Randy did good.

A wonderful departure from the Broadway style of Menken. Wich will receive an extra warm welcome back next year when Rapunzel hits theaters.

Ok, yeah... I "acquired" the soundtrack also. I'm only listening to the first 3 songs or so which I've already heard in full. :) I'm trying to hold out til next Wednesday!

I too have it, but I think I'll hold off until tomorrow or perhaps even my flight home on Tuesday. I need SOMETHING to do on a plane...
