I hate those american style chinese restaurants. They cater chinese dishes to american tastes. Example of General Gaus Chicken, YUK! Its not really chinese food anymore. Go to chinatown somewhere (I think its in LA, Sanfrancisco, Boston, New York) to eat good chinese food!

There aren't many chain restaurants I particularly like; but the ones I do like to get out to every once in a while are:

1. Jack Astor's
2. Outback Steakhouse
3. St. Hubert (native to Quebec, Canada)
4. Boston Pizza

One of my new favorites is Moe's Southwest Grill. I also like and frequent Taco Bell, Backyard Burger, and Chili's, among others.

Oz: Yeah, but, you know, since the best jazz is improvisational, we'd be going off in all directions, banging into floats... scary.

Very true--Friendly's has awesome buffalo chicken wraps. :D I'm sort of a health freak so I don't get ice cream too often.

I've always loved Subway. Red Robin is one of my favorites too. Love the Clam Chowder and margaritas!
Texas Roadhouse has great rolls. Olive Garden's all you can eat soup, salad, and bread sticks is awesome too.

I Love RED ROBINS, with the endless fries. I grew up with Friendly's and Howard Johnson's in New York, But I have not had them in over 25 years

You can add Red Robin and Olive Garden to my list of favorites. We just had a "Red Robin" open here in Wichita and you are right Memnv, the bottomless fries are habit-forming and you and I know what that can do to the waistline. Just went to "Olive Garden" for the first time in about two years, and yes the bottomless pasta bowl, soup, salad and breadsticks are to die for. Chili's Chicken Fried Chicken is a stand-out in my book.

When I was on vacation in Carson City, NV this past August, we ate at The Pizza Factory and I haven't found pizza that good anywhere else. It was truly the best pizza I have ever had.

I like all of them except ponderosa. Theres no ponderosa restaurants here in mass, but I ate them in like florida. I just remember that the quality of food isn't too good. Papa Ginos has really good pizza, but I prefer Olive Garden.

Oh yeah, I forgot to metion that I like Hard Rock Cafe, or ESPN Zone. Those are really fun to eat at. I ate at those places in Philly.

I don't like Claim Jumpers, when they first opened they were ok, but the portions are to big and 2 overpriced and they just dont taste that great

how come there aren't a lot asian restaurant fans? I just went to this korean BBQ (heaven!) restaurant in cambridge called Koreana, and I ordered this korean kimchi hot pot, so good. I also had some of the barbeque beef that you barbeque on the table (Theres like a grill on the center of the table). I also love cantonese food, such as ginger lobsters, king crabs, black bean mussels, etc.

because most of the Asioan restaurants (at least in this area, I wont pretend like I know about other areas) are one shot family owned type deals, and the topic title specfically says CHAINS?

there are actually asian restaurant chains in boston. Take Minado (Japanese Seafood buffet), for instance. Its a chain, although not really big.
