What's New at Walt Disney World?
Re: What's New at Walt Disney World?
Hmm intriguing ... I wonder what creative choices they will make here. You simply cannot compare Emma Watson to Paige O'Hara or Susan Egan...so I would hope the latter two are chosen above the star power that's for sure.

Either way, it's a sing along, so I suppose the audience would drown out any of the Belles' singing.
Re: What's New at Walt Disney World?
Haha yes that's very true !
I've always wondered, with the live action versions of everything, would they ever come into the parks ? Like Belle's original dress swapped out for the live action version ? Or Emily Blunt's incarnation of Mary Poppins, will she be in the parks now ?
Disneyland Paris embraced the live action Cinderella by incorporating the live action ballgown into the stage show 'Mickey & the Magician'. . . wonder if this practice will be kept up ?

^ Shanghai Disneyland has a Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland maze:
https://www.shanghaidisneyresort.com/en ... land-maze/
And I know the WDW B&tB stage show included "How Does a Moment Last Forever" to the pre-show. I can't think of other live-action remakes in the parks...

Ah yes those ones are good examples.
But sequels are a new thing all together. Really do wonder what they will do with Emily Blunt's Mary ? And the rumoured ride .... ?

Remember how the original Snow White's Scary Adventures ride didn't have Snow White in it? I wonder if the Mary Poppins ride won't actually have Mary in it. Maybe not even Bert or Jack or the kids...maybe just maybe Uncle Albert or Topsy, Admiral Boom even. Definitely the penguins, carousel, maybe the Royal Dalton animals or the Jolly Holiday animals or musicians, parrot umbrella, etc, but not Mary...

Re: What's New at Walt Disney World?
Hmm yeah I can see what you mean, that could be an angle. And the ride could be telling us all about how wonderful Mary Poppins is etc. But then won't it suffer the same thing as those original rides did, and not having the main character be a bit detrimental ?blackcauldron85 wrote:Remember how the original Snow White's Scary Adventures ride didn't have Snow White in it? ^ That's a really good point. Maybe they'll make a carousel/penguins/animals angle for the the ride...maybe no humans will be more acceptable if there's no Mary...? Or they'll create a Mary that kind of looks generic/like both?

The Death of the Disney Autograph
https://www.wdwinfo.com/walt-disney-wor ... autograph/
I know that the lines for meet 'n greets can be long, but it's nice for people to collect the autographs of the characters they've met. I know that a lot of people incorporate them into their photo albums/scrapbooks. I guess the world we live in is becoming more automated, and pre-printed autograph cards (if you get one at all) = another example of that.

Ha, I actually love this pre-autographed cards. I think they're cute and great to collect. I think they make sense as well, especially during crowded events like the Halloween and Christmas parties. As an adult I would never buy an autograph book to have characters sign, but I'll gladly take those cards.
I'm more amazed by the news Star Wars land is opening in August! We were planning a trip in September, but now I'm not sure, as it will probably be crazy crowded! I did hear a rumor that not all of the Star Wars rides will open in August as well, but later and that it will just be the land and restaurants opening in August, though I can't imagine that myself.

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular to Undergo Renovation, Should Be Updated In Time For ‘Indiana Jones 5'

I think this is a good thing. As someone who's never seen an Indy film, this show has always been one I could take or leave- it's a good show and you can sit! but it's not a favorite of mine. It'll be nice to experience something new.

The show is okay but after you've seen it once, the appeal quickly wears off. Glad it'll be reinvented.

Save money at Walt Disney World by entering the theme parks after 12 p.m.
https://insidethemagic.net/2019/08/disn ... ticket-ba1
I think that this should be an Annual Passholder tier... but the current iteration saves people buying a one-day or more ticket $28 or more a day, which can add up.

If you look close at the conceptual model you can see what looks like a “Coco” themed upgrade to the Mexico pavilion (a replacement of the current “Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros” attraction).

No, more like the other way around. Some Targets are getting Disney Store sections and you’ll be able to buy official Disney Store merch from Target.com.blackcauldron85 wrote:

The Cirque show I’m sure will be incredible. There wasn’t any show in that massive building during my CP which was a little disappointing. Maybe when I visit next year I’ll take my family to the show?
