Most Dreaded Sequel
So, which sequel are you dreading the most? With me, it's probably Lion King 1 1/2. I think it's making a mockery of the original, and now we can't accept the original or the TV series as part of the canon.
Defy Gravity...
Well Prince Adam, if you don't want to wreck the original movie (wrecking is a big word actually) then just don't go see it Nothing is obligating you to buy the DVD and see it you know I like to go "back to pride rock" and see new footage of the original story, seen in another way.
I'm not going to say anything bad about the sequels, because I like most of the ones that are already released. I voted for Bambi, because I have a bad feeling about it not being a worthy sequel to the original.

I think you're taking too much offence at TLK1.5. It's supposed be Timon & Pumbaa's spin on things, and its all in good fun. It's not like they are discracing the original.Prince Adam wrote:I don't mind them making a Lion King sequel (I love Simba's Pride), but I just don't like how it makes a mockery of the first film.
And I love sequels myself, I just know there's a lot of hatred towards them, and I just wanted to know which one is going to be hated the most.
Exactly, and now they are funnier than in TLK 2. Their jokes really stunk in TLK 2. And I really didn't like Pumbaa's color! Anyway, I'm looking forward as the preview video clips on the official site are really great (every one of them) and that's only a small piece of the movie. So what will the movie itself be? Great and a lot of laughing! I think you should wait untill you see it Prince Adam, let me know when you did

Have you ever noticed how sometimes, you can do something with a friend and yet you and the friend can come away with drastically different versions of the event to tell? It's the same thing here. The original movie was Simba's story, and 1 1/2 is Timon and Pumbaa's. Like your reccollection of whatever it was that you did with your friend, it will be simmilar in lots of places but the details may be different. It's a different, comical look at the original story from Timon and Pumbaa's different, admittedly offbeat point of view but it won't tarnish anyone's memories of it.

Bambi 2 would be the worst Disney Sequel to date.
I thought productions for Bambi 2 were shut down.
I guess they really want to make a great story out of it.
Just leave Bambi alone the first film was fine.
History repeats it self (Cinderella 2).

Firstly, I'd premise my response by saying I am not opposed to sequels generally, and this poll seems to be slanted towards which sequels out of a bad crop is the worst. I am actually looking forward to a few of those (Twice Upon a Christmas; Tarzan 2), and a an avid supporter of the DTV division/DisneyToon, as the more stuff they do/sell, the better the quality of the output ultimately.
Having said that, Bambi is the one I am LEAST looking forward to. While many of the other sequels mentioned are quite recent, and most of them were left open for "further tales" (given the anthology nature of Once Upon... and the fact that Tarzan came from serialised novels to start with).
As such I voted for Bambi.
The other titles mentioned have me fairly apathetic. While I have stated I do not see the point of a Mulan sequel, I can't write it off until I see more info on it. I enjoyed the first, I may enjoy the sequel. I have not seen Princess Diaries, so I cannot comment on the coming sequel.
Parent Trap has me in two minds. It is one of my favourite live action Disney films (one of my favourite films generally), but this sequel is the sequel to a remake, and the original already has three (or more?) sequels. Is there anything else to be told?

Oh my goddnesss without a doubt I voted for Bambi being the worst sequal. I mean I dont realy have a problem with sequalsd but LEAVE THE CLASSICS ALONE !!! And if they do change it, I think it would be nice if they sticked to orignal voices or something close to it casue I know that really ticks me off.

Definitely Bambi. The original was only just ok, and I don't see ANY room for a sequel, but you never know. I am actually looking forward to all the others, but I DON'T like Twice Upon A Christmas or Bambi 2 being done in 3D .

Actually, it's currently slated to be a 'mid-quel,' focusing on Bambi's, er, awkward years.
