Disney Toons Layoffs

Judge Doom: Now my fellow people *smiles grimly* Master Bob Iger has called this meetin, apparently some of us haven't been pullin our weight *eyes the cast of Fantasia, the Package Films, amog other film failures* So we're doin some layoffs

*Bob steps to the pedstal, facin the crowd*

Bob Iger: Folks don't worry not everybody is being kicked to the curb

*crowd looks nervous/frighten*

Bob: Will a representive of Fantasia step forward.

*YenSid approaches Bob Iger*

YenSid: Yes Mr. Iger

Bob: Your film nearly bankrupt the company, yet gave Mickey an extra boost of popularlity

YenSid: Agreed. But you must understand, there was a war, Europe cut the market for the american films and-

Bob: Ok I see your point, you made up for the failure when the film was re-released, but I'm afraid we'll have to let you go.

*Pinocchio approaches the pedstal as YenSid leaves*

Pinocchio: Mr. Iger as you know my film was made on the early start of W.W 2

Bob: *Nodding in agreement* your film is highly claimed as the perfect Disney film next to Mary Poppins correct

*Pinocchio nods*

Bob: You may stay considering we can't lose a true classic film

Pinocchio: Thank you sir, I'll be good

*Taran approches Bob*

Bob: What film are you from boy?? *looks thru his paper*

Taran: Black Cauldron, we failed at the box office, lost to *shrugs* The Care Bears

Bob: Indeed, nearly spelt doom for the company, sorry but we're laying you off.

Robin Hood: Mr. Iger, was my film a success?

*Bob gives Robin his approval*

Robin Hood: Oh thank you lad. you hear that Johnny? we just been pardon.

Bob Iger: Everybody who's films were successful may leave, those whoses films sorta flopped, stay.

*Snow White, Dumbo, Bambi, Peter Pan, Cinderella, among other successful characters leave. Reluncant Dragon, cast of Melody Time and Mars Needs Moms stay*

Bob: get those guys out'ta here, I don't wan'na see 'em *points to the Mars cast*

I thought "Bambi" was one of those movies that "sorta flopped", too. Granted, like "Pinocchio", it was mainly on account of WWII, but still...

Bambi was released in the mist of W.W 2, the war was semi part of the flop cause the european market was cut off durnin the war, if the market wasn't cut off then Bambi, Pinocchio and Fantasia would've earned their budgets back possibly. Dumbo was Walt's successful film at the box office durnin W.W 2 then Snow White earned a few more $ for the company which started the 7 year re-release for the DACs

Considering how better animated "Pinocchio" was reputed to be, had it not been for the war, I think that one in particular would probably have retired its cost easily.

Anyway...

Shouldn't Donald Duck be part of the cast of "Melody Time"?
