The UK Announcement Thread

Post by Wonderlicious »

Rather than have a million topics spread across the International DVD forum for each announcement, I think it would be a good idea to set up a new thread for all the press releases to go in.

Lilo and Stitch 2:
http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=57592

It has been announced with cover art for 22nd August (schockingly for BVHE UK, two months before street date :o). And there's little information on anything as well.

Thanks Joe. :D
Cover could have been better but oh well. Also i've noticed it looks like the widescreen logos on the spines have been totally ditched with the latest releases not having them such as Mulan 2, Tarzan and Tarzan II and now this not having it. I wonder why they got rid of it? Strange....

Oh My God!

How could they choose that ugly thing, when they could have had this cover instead!

OK it's confirmation of release dates time.

Lilo and Stitch SE is definitely coming on August 22nd.

Cinderella is definitely October 31st. I expect those preorders saying October 3rd will be changed soon.

Toy Story and Toy Story 2 are both coming on November 26th.

Maybe not, Play.com has just added Cinderella to their listings, and that does say October 3rd. Hopefully all the other bonus materials will get passed, otherwise I am importing the gift set. :headshake:

Yes, all the modern Disney films are widescreen by default here. Even The Country Bears, that only got a full screen release in the US.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Amazon now have the cover for the double box set for Lilo And Stitch SE and Stitch Has A Glitch.

Image

Im guessing that all of the new box sets coming out like The Pooh boxset, Tarzan/TarzanII boxset just have a cardboard box around them.
