I've been thinking about this purchase for awhile, and now seeing so many of these great Non-RI discs you folks are getting I'm thinking it's time.
So ... any recommendations?
I'd like to pick something up in person rather than hav to pay shipping across either "Pond", but if that's not gonna be possible so be it. Thanks in advance for your comments and recommendations.

Remember, a European DVD player runs on a different electrical frequencey than an American one, so it's unlikely that you'll be able to simply import, plug-in and play a European DVD player.indianajdp wrote:I've been thinking about this purchase for awhile, and now seeing so many of these great Non-RI discs you folks are getting I'm thinking it's time.

I recommend looking at this page:
http://www.hkflix.com/hardware/
and also checking out the regional forums on the hometheaterforum and dvdtalk for more information/recommendations.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

If you live in the US or for that matter anywhere, the PHILIPS line of DVD players (including the portable ones)
can all be UNLOCKED to play any region DVD.
I own several models of PHILIPS DVD players, which have all been unlocked using the same instructions.
Just go to:
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks
and do a search for your model (it really doesn't matter which model, PHILIPS unlock using the same instructions no matter the model).
