RULES

#1: Before creating a new thread, you are encouraged and expected to first search for an existing thread on the same topic. If relevant, it may be better to add on to this existing thread than starting a new one. Duplicate threads add clutter and waste bandwidth.

#2: When creating a thread, make sure to choose the appropriate forum section. Deliberately starting a topic in the wrong section to gain more exposure and responses is frowned upon.

#3: Choose clear and accurate titles for your threads. Avoid misleading or vague wording in the subject line. Avoid using ellipses in the title as a means to create suspense.

#4: Bumping threads without adding anything to draw attention to a specific topic is not allowed. If people are interested in discussing a certain topic, they will do so without such prodding.

#5: Use the 'quote' button in moderation. Avoid quoting long posts, blocks of quotes or posts that contain embedded images. If you are replying to a large post, only quote the specific part you wish to respond and remove any irrelevant text.

#6: Limit the use of emoticons. There is no need for ten emoticons in a row. You can usually get your point across with one or two.

#7: Use font colors and sizes sparingly, as they can be annoying and distracting when used to excess.

#8: Do not double, triple, quadruple, etc. post. Wait until someone else replies before making another post. If you need to add something, edit your previous post. Posting the same comment in more than one thread is not allowed either.

#9: Avoid going off-topic. If you need to discuss a different subject, simply create a new thread.

#10: Embedding videos is not allowed as they make pages difficult to load. Post the links to them instead.

#11: Embedding large images that take up the whole page creates an unpleasant browsing experience. Post them in reasonable sizes or post the links to them instead.

#12: Inline linking (hotlinking) media files should be avoided. There are plenty of free file-hosting services where you can upload the files you wish to share.

#13: Do not spam or vandalize threads. Editing your posts to significantly alter or remove their content entirely is strictly prohibited.

#14: Unsolicited advertisement for goods, services and/or other websites is not permitted under any circumstances. Contacting any member via private messaging for commercial purposes is not acceptable.

#15: Use the 'report this post' function with prudence and caution. Only report posts which clearly violate forum rules.

#16: Avatars and signatures/banners should not exceed the established dimensions. Avatars should be 100 x 100 pixels while signatures 500 (width) x 100 (height) pixels in size.

#17: Sharing or linking to copyrighted material such as music or films is not permitted. Discussion of any illegal activities is not permitted either.

#18: Accounts are strictly limited to one per individual. Duplicate accounts will be banned without prior notice. If there is a problem with your account (e.g. forgotten password), contact an administrator or a moderator instead of registering for a new account. Banned members are not allowed to register for a new account. The sharing, exchanging, gifting, renting or selling of accounts is strictly prohibited.

#19: Do not ask for your account to be removed or banned. Existing accounts will not deleted upon request. If you no longer wish to participate, simply log out and stop visiting the board.

#20: Usernames should not exceed 20 characters and cannot contain any inappropriate language. Choose your username carefully as username changes after registration are not permitted.

#21: Attacking or harassing fellow members will not be tolerated. Members must be courteous and respectful to one another. No direct or indirect personal attacks or insults of any kind will be allowed. Posts which antagonize, belittle, provoke or humiliate other members will be removed or edited. Needless to say, trolling and flaming are also prohibited.

#22: Revealing private, sensitive or identifying information about other members without their consent (doxxing) is strictly prohibited. Engaging in gossiping or rumor-mongering about others is not permitted either.

#23: Lewd, disturbing or otherwise inappropriate content has no place on this message board. Materials featuring graphic violence or nudity are prohibited.

#24: Use of foul or offensive language such as slurs is not acceptable nor is engaging in hate speech of any kind.

#25: The rulings of the moderating team are not subject to debate. If you disagree with a decision or believe you were unfairly treated, you may only contact them privately and make your case in a civil and respectful manner.
