75% Of Games This Quarter Are Coming From...Two Publishers
The respected Screen Digest magazine has done the number crunching, and worked out that 75% of all new games for this quarter are coming from only 2 publishers (Activision and EA). Now, I don't know about you, but I find that somewhat scary.
I also find it somewhat disappointing when I love the videogame medium so much. EA especially will be flooding the market with it's annual sports game updates, on multiple formats - pushing out originality and innovation - both by not publishing anything original itself, but also by taking up retailer shelf space and pushing out truely original games.
I only hope that for the Xmas season, the publishers are more evenly distributed.

Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database
