What is your favorite animal?
What is your favorite animal?
I know this is completely random, but I am a huge animal lover (which is often times why I am very partial to the Disney animated features that are about animals). I love going to zoos or theme parks and seeing all of the cool animals. What I want to know UDers is what is your favorite animal??
Mine is the Polar Bear! They are so cute, I just want to pet and hug one (if only I could do so without it wanting to maul/attack/kill/eat me!)

My favorite pets are kittens forward slash cats. They're cute and they bounce off walls easily, hahaha, I'm kidding they're actually hideous.
They are cute, fun to cuddle and actually develop a relationship with their owner. Puppies are cute, except when they grow into dogs they dump everywhere and you have to take them out so they can exercise for about an hour a day.

Undoubtedly, it would have to be the Cassowary.
They are just so goddamn badass. If they kick you it the chest, they can break your ribcage. They can also disembowel you, due to their sharp claws. They are good swimmers, can jump up to 1.5 metres and are also really fast. Plus they just look really cool.

I have had a lot of different 'favorite' animals throughout the course of my life.
Sharks were my favorite animal until I saw Jaws - bored the living hell out of me! I never knew sharks were so sleep enducing.
Then, Penguins. I always had an affinity for penguins. The way they walk. Their bland little existences (it seems that way if you don't watch the wildlife documentaries). Their black and white fur coats / Nature coats (just a cover up for facts I may not know) - once I got a Halloween costume just because it reminded me of a penguin, it was a black and white striped prison inmate costume (though I guess now thanks to so much Law & Order, our culture is too hip to the fact most prisoners wear blue or orange Suits). But it was like a phase. They became too popular and I quickly lost interest.
Then - the Lobster. I guess most people look at an animal like the lobster and see a Seafood Dinner already mapped out on their plate at Weathervane or Long John Silvers (or Red Lobster, and hey - doesn't The Olive Garden have lobster dishes too?). But I always had a deep respect for the lobster and an interest in knowing more about it's life. Of course, I don't remember much. But I sort of think now that the lobster is basically my favorite animal now. I can't remember if any other ever really took the title away.

I love cats, wolves, dogs, birds, penguins, wild cats... I just love animals and I visit the zoo very often.
I know it's not the same thing as seeing an animal in it's natural habitat, but I love watching documentaries about animals, too.
Just this weekend I saw "Animals are beautiful people" again and I think it's very funny and interesting, even if it is a little old. I loved it in my childhood and I still do.

The Panda Bear
They have always had a soft spot in my heart. I've always wanted one, and I was glad to see one of the baby Panda's at the National Zoo, last year.

Check out my avatar, that's my favorite animal. The mule deer.
I've always liked deer (mule deer especially) because they're powerful let playful, graceful, majestic and beautiful creatures. The main reason why I like Bambi is because it's about a deer. I like whitetail deer too but not as much as mule deer because I think they look more beautiful.
Then check out my siggy that's one of my favorite mechanical animals.

i love cats. cats just make me smile. fluffy cats, cats with no fur, skinny cats, fat cats, old cats, young cats (i feel like doctor seuss.... which reminds me--i DONT like the cat in the hat!! i dont know why but he scares me to no end)
that being said, cats are my favorite animal. and my favorite cat of all time IISSS---- the panther! it's big and majestic and wild and black and has sharp teeth. and... BLACK! i love black.
my second favorite animal is the panda. probably because its my nickname (and not the other way around.) someone called me 'panda' for no reason and it stuck. now i really like pandas!!

Well, it’s hard to say really. There are a lot of animals. I guess I’d have to say cats, because I love them so. But wolves, deer, swans (the only birds I’d say I like) and snakes are awesome, too. And octopi, of course (I love to watch them move).
EDIT: And owls, too! Bah, I knew I'd forget something. I have several owl figurines I snatched from my grandmother's house after she died (noone else wanted them, so it wasn't really snatching I guess...).
As for mythical creatures, I have a glass bookend of a phoenix.

Listening to most often lately:
Ariana Grande ~ "we can't be friends (wait for your love)"
Ariana Grande ~ "imperfect for you"
Kacey Musgraves ~ "The Architect"
