BYUTV! airing classic Disney..Wonderful World of Color..mayb

Post by justcuttinhair »

hey everyone
for those of you who do not know, BYUTV, has been airing many of the classic Disney films( Blackbeard's Ghost, Now You See Him Now You Dont', The Happiest Millionaire). I recently emailed them and told them how pleased I was that they had elected to air this vintage films and could they possibly show any of the Wonderful World of Color episodes..I received a prompt response saying that at this time there are no plans to air any of the episodes, but, they would be interested into finding out about airing them. I encourage anyone who is a fan of WWOC, to email, or message on Facebook, BYUTV, and let them know how pleased you are with them showing vintage Disney and encourage them to broadcast WWOC episodes...it may be a long shot..but, it is something!!

Thanks for the heads up, they're showing one of my all time favorites Those Calloways tonight @ 7 so will definitely be tuning in. I think it's great that they're doing this.

When BYUtv airs RETURN TO SNOWY RIVER, my BIGGEST complaint is that it's the FULLSCREEN version like the DVD.

For you folks that don't know, there is a Region 4 DVD called THE MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER II, released by Roadshow Entertainment (http://www.village.com.au) that is an Anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) Director's Cut and includes the missing wedding scene that Disney made the director remove from the film.

You need a multi-region player to actually play this DVD. But that's easy enough to fix that if you check to see if your player can be unlocked to play multi-region just go to http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks

To buy the movie on DVD go to:
http://www.devoteddvd.com.au/man-from-s ... wy%20river

this clip cuts off the very beginning of the wedding scene, so I guess you'll have to buy the Region 4 DVD to see it in it's entirety.
