2-3 Star Wars films every YEAR...

Post by BK »

So, what was that about not selling out? My essay stands and is more relevant than ever.

Disney, f*** off.

For goodness sake, are we looking for things to whine about? At least wait for confirmation, this is just one article on a random site.

Are you sure there's no confirmation bias coming into play here?

The only way that can happen for any amount of years is if you factor in the 3D conversions. (couldn't be bothered to click the link)

I'm perfectly fine with that. I want all of them re released so I can see the OT in theaters for the first time.

I thought it was 2-3 films EACH YEAR lol. Reading the article I'm not to fussed about it. If that's what George Lucas wants to do, then let him. I'm sure he never stopped expanding his world of Star Wars, and now he has a company willing to back him up.

Disney is such an enabler

One report suggested lucasfilm want to release 2-3 films a year.that doesn't mean 2-3 Star Wars films a year..lucasfilm is more than just Star Wars...willow and several other films were made by lucasfilm...amazing how news gets twisted so fast...after all they have already announced their release schedule for Star Wars..

You think THAT's a bad dream? Fox is gonna lose rights to their Star Wars films (save for Episode IV) in 2020! There's 8 to go though so something can change.

LOL! Amen to that! :D

Right now, I kind of feel that Indy is the big loser in all of this.

Guys, there will NOT be 2-3 Star Wars movies a year. It takes longer than that to make one of these films! It was a misquote. Perhaps they are looking to make 2-3 films a year in general, but they are not going to do that many SW films in a year. Ep 7 in 2015, followed by two more, around 2 or 3 years apart.

Exactly. It's a Star Wars every 2-3 years.

LOL, everyone needs to relax and take everything they read with a grain of salt, at least online.

It still seems odd discussing SW on the Disney Discussion board. It feels weird that it is part of Disney now. 8)

If anything, Fox should've gotten Lucasfilm and the Star Wars franchise.

Well, it's weird but I'm not against it. They've been doing SW Weekends at Disney World for over a decade now and I do think that it's a good fit. It's just still weird to think about it that it is part of Disney now. I think they are going to handle it well, just like Marvel. I'm also glad they got it because I know they are going to keep it alive. I hope that we do get a SW theme park one day.

To me Marvel being a part of Disney is still way weirder than Star Wars.

I agree with that. However, it seems Lucas was very specific in selling to Disney.
