My Little Pony: The Movie (1986) is finally
coming to Blu-ray on October 16, 2018. It'll be bundled with the 2017 movie to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the brand.

The irony about this release is the fact the original 1986 movie was distributed by DEG Films in which the majority of the library is owned by StudioCanal who have a deal in the States with Lionsgate. Of course, this movie (and Transformers The Movie) are owned by Hasbro who sublicensed this out to Lionsgate, so for some time this movie will be under the same roof with both the company that owned the studio that distributed film and the studio who has a deal with said company.
Full circle, huh?
