Sounds like you really needed that maybe!

My answer is now hopefully! I had it pre-ordered on Amazon... then I made a rushed decision to change that pre-order to Boy Meetss World S3 instead and just get both Muppets releases from BB tomorrow because of that sale... and then Target had their TV sets for $5.99 tonight so I went and blew my Muppets money on that. I'm trying to scrounge around some to come up with enough for at least Season One tomorrow. If not, I'll at least get it before the week is out. Can't wait to start working!

I'm definitely picking it up, but I'm not sure exactly when. There are too many releases I want to save up for in the next couple of months (Chicago, Cinderella, and Oz being the big trio), so maybe I'll just ask for this for Christmas (along with the SE's of the Muppet movies).

Will be picking it up on Friday, when that coupon can be used. It's $29.99 for the set, and then $5.99 for Oz @ Best Buy.

The review helped me with my 'maybe.' ;)

It's out in the US right before I come visit next week? Count me in to buy then ;)

Now that's how you did an Anglo-American production now... funded and filmed here in the UK with the talent of you guys creating and making it. Normally it's the other way around now (we're making it and you're funding it!)

Oh no! Not another "who's going to buy" poll! What would Loomis say about this? :p

Don't worry, Robin Hood; I was just joking with you there; around this time last year, we had nothing but "who's going to buy [insert new DVD]" on this board, and everyone got annoyed about it. It doesn't matter that you started one, as we haven't had one in ages and I have a funny feeling that these threads won't esculate into a bandwith problem this time round.

And I vote "no", as although I like those Muppets, I'm not familiar with the actual show, so I'm probably going to skip it and save up for something else.

Mine is already pre-ordered since mid-june .... I hope they ship it fast, so it will be here at the end of the week.

I'm probably going to buy, but the fact that there seems to be parts edited out makes me somewhat less enthusiastic.

I saw on another website that some of these episodes have been edited ... specifically, musical numbers edited out apparently due to royalty issues? I think I saw a couple of the specific numbers were by Jim Nabors and Vincent Price? Anybody else out there hear this?

Purchasing the Muppets Season 1 DVD set

Post by Mouseketodd »

I hope to buy it, or ask for it for Christmas.

I'd love to get it now, but I've got to save up for the next wave of Disney Treasures, of which I plan to buy each volume.

Others I'd like to save for include: Revenge of the Sith, Attack of the Clones, A Phantom Menace, Cinderella, the Disney Christmas volume that contains "A Small One," Toby Tyler..... I could list more that are on my wish list!
My handmade paperweights, including Disney subjects -- some contain viewable movie cells!

Currently listed: Ludwig Von Drake, Annette, Zorro, Star Wars, the Wicked Witch, Classic Tron, and more!

I didn't know there was a complete Muppet Show season 1! All I know of is the edited season 1... Nah I'm just kidding. The edits don't really bother me THAT much...

Anyway, I've got it ordered from amazon and I can't wait till it gets here! :D
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.
