company’s stock by nearly 19%, to $104.35 per share at close of day on Monday. While much of that drop might be attributed to the market-wide sell-off due to the coronavirus scare, the company has seen a steeper decline than the S&P, which has fallen 12% since Feb. 25.
(No Parks head replacement)
That lack of leadership seems to many to be even more curious as the theme parks face the daunting challenge of dealing with a fast-moving coronavirus outbreak and park closures in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Japan.
So what do we know about Bob Chapek? He's not one of the FOX take-ins, right? Do we have any idea if he might have some kind of politically conservative bent?

I have a friend who works at the Parks and all she's been saying is how the second Bob Chapek was put in charge, the quality control of the American parks has sunk.

No, he was in charge of the Parks and Resorts division from 2015 until becoming CEO. A lot of the parks fans on the other side of the Disney community hate him but I haven’t been around long enough to draw my own conclusions.

Well, if Pete Docter and Jennifer Lee are anything to go by, it’ll only take a few months for him to become hated by the Disney fandom. He wasn’t even liked at one point like they were.

I only heard about him from here but since then, I've seen lots of Disney articles where all the people were commenting and complaining about the fate of the parks. These were all big Disney Parks buffs.

From the article's title (which I had skim-read through), it also looks like if this coronavirus does not abate soon, then Disney itself may not be around much longer.
Well, if according to the article, Disney is losing 30 million dollars/day while they loaned 6 billion, each billion should last them about a month, and that's not considering the money Disney already had in their pockets. But Disney will never go away. There's loads of stuff they can (and will) do before going away.

I was about to say... They've set records several years in a row with their film intakes. If (one of?) the richest companies were to be wiped out, then just about every other company would be gone before them.

But Disney as we knew it forever will be gone.
Disney always changed throughout history:
1. 1928 - 1967
2. 1968 - 1983
3. 1984 - 2005
4. 2006 - 2019
So this change doesn't mean much to me. It was bound to happen at some point.
